in ingham county they cant tell you what a fine is for carrying a gun out of season. i went threw this last feb. had permission to kill on one farmer got over on another piece and got a ticket retrieving my dog. ticket was for hunting out of season went to pay it and they couldnt tell me nothing so i told them i would fight it and went back for the court date and they threw it out. never even went in front of a judge.

Yes, you have to be carrying a firearm to kill nuisance coon or you will be ticketed for running your dogs during quiet time.

Your other options for running your dogs is a nite hunt or in a private training area.

Nine times out of ten if you can show the law is not clear they will throw it out of court.
