Never ask a man what kind of dog he has. If he has a hound he'll tell you, if he does not, you don't want to shame him by asking.

Does anyone know if you can buy just the rubber housings from Tracker that slides onto the collar and the light sits in, just by itself or not? I already have two of the Tracker Flash lights one blue and one white. I absolutely love them best lighted collar concept for dogs ever made. I am looking to buy another one and believe it or not I found these same lights at a Lowe's Home Improvement store, only thing is they don't have the extra little rubber housing with the loops for sliding it onto a collar. There built exactly like the ones that you get from Tracker and are by the same manufacture "Adventure Lights" except they come from Lowe's and don't have the extra rubber piece for the collar that Tracker makes to sell them with. Lowe's carried red and white for sure and maybe other colors too but I only found the red and white ones when I was there. The only differences in the two were these had 5 LED’s VS. just the one that come with Tracker. All 5 LED’s blink in rapid circular motion and were very bright. They sold for just under $10 and that got me to thinking especially when I saw someone on here mention a replacement rubber collar mount for $2. If this were the case I would go that route and buy the two separate for $12 and you still got the same thing. All in all and then again $20 really is cheap enough considering and it would still be well worth it but I'm always trying to complicate things and save a dollar, lol.

If anyone knows weather or not you can get the rubber collar mount for these lights separate or not and what they cost I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks Jordan

The rubber collar attachment is Trackers.

We love our Tracker Flash lights, perfer the constant light over the flash. Also found zip ties work really well at keeping them on the collar where we want them at and don't have to worry about the mount peice breaking. We used to use the sunburst lighted colors but the Trackers are so much nicer, one less collar yet same amount of light. Gotta love that.

Thanks for the info Buckshot. I checked out the link you posted, guess that would work but I'm just not too crazy about the idea of just Velcro to hold it on with. It seems to me like it would be sliding around the collar to. I appreciate the help though I also checked out their site didn't see any mention of a replacement for it on there either. I sent them an E-mail about it guess I'll just wait till I hear back from them and see what they have to say about it. Thanks Jordan

Tracker no longer sells them since SportDog took over.

The velcro works..............Also works on bells..........velcro is alot stronger than you might think.

What collar are you guys putting these on? Where are they sitting? I want them directly on top of the dog and not rolling to the side, but haven't figured that out yet...

I won't turn a dog loose without a light on it...

I use Dayglo collars. I dont have pictures but here is some pictures posted on CoonDawgs.com from a member:

I took some velcro and ran it through the plastic female tabs on the base and attached it to the collar.

Check it out...

I like that idea.. I could velcro them right on the buckle on my tracking collars since they rarely roll on me..

LIGHTS

GUYS I HUNT WITH USE THEM ALL THE TIME. I HAVE USED ONE OF THERES WHEN WE HUNT. I PLAN ON GETTING A FEW WHEN I SEE THEM AT A HUNT. I REALLY LIKE THEM AND PROBABLY WILL NOT TURN A HOUND LOOSE WITHOUT ONE.

I HAVE HEARD THAT THE YOTES WILL STAY AWAY WHEN USING LITES. ANY TRUTH TO THIS?
