yea i gree it's funny how much junk a man has to have to tree a coon anymore . i think alot of today's hounds the way their bred to hunt require a tracking system and sometines a shocker - lol . ive got a 70 year old uncle that still does it the old way - no tracker , shocker , etc . the most exspensive things he carries is a 28 volt bright eyes box light - which i sold him for 200 .00 , and a houndsman deluxe all diamond box - he gave 400.00 for it and about stroked out ! he buys pups and trains them by themselves and rans them ocationally with a old dog until they start doing pretty good them he'll single them out , if they bump a deer , he'll take the old dog and go on hunting - he walk hunts only . he'll holler at the pup a few times then he'll go on , when he makes his way back through he generally catches them and gives em a good talking to , then he'll take em home , tie a rag around their neck with deer breaking sent , or whatever they were on , and leaves them in the lot for a few days and takes them back out , most of the time their broke the first time , sometimes it takes more but it work's . he packs good hounds also this way , he just pleasure hunt's , but has had some dog's that were world champion quality in my opion , i guess when i retire ( hopefulley ) i'll have time to do those techniques on dog training .
