i learnt this year bear hunting it was my first year you need a dog that can flat ass fly on track or the bear will not tree and if he dont tree they will get him bayed up and the big ones dont like to clim they would rather bay and fight but IT TAKES A DOG THAT RUNS LIKE A FOX hound fast as hell and grit and enuff cence to keep the bear from killing him.with the rite pack of bear dog thoe i dont see how bears can get away from a pack of fast dogs that can move a bear like a deer.they eather got to clim or the dogs will pull hair out of his ass to make him bay and fight and i also found out they are a lot of so called bear dogs not worth feeding just like coon hounds,the man that had the great bear dogs we could stop aney where and they would have a bear jumped in 10 minutes and the raise was on they did not look for tracks or road hunt they free casted just like i do coon hunting but they where plenty bear there we sean 54 in 3 days hunting.every day they was bear killed from 6-7 hundered pounds there.he took his dogs to maine to tune them up every year for 10 dayes there befor season comes in in nc. and they killed 27 in thoes 10 days in maine he said they keep getting thicker every year in maine where he hunts but he has hunted there all his life,
