Lots of guys can have fun getting screwed if they didnt know they were getting screwed. Especially when ole big timer is doing it and making you feel good while hes doing it.

I`m sure that if I got sent to the truck for making a stupid mistake I would be upset, but I`d be upset at myself not the guy who sent me to the truck. Never had a problem with people not seeing a coon, many times the coon is found by other cast members regardless whose dog treed it. I like to listen to a good dog work regardless of colour, if it`s better than mine than I raise the bar for what I want.

Well I would say the differance between you and the whiners is you reached man hood. Must of had good parents. LOL
I still say make them put there name on here and they wont have the back bone to mouth near as much. ( :

Excellent post Jim, Heck I been competition hunting in Ohio for 35 yrs, I guess I didn't know it was so bad. I 'll have to start watching people closer.~~~~~Jeff

See guys I got into this sport in my young teens. The sport of competition hunting that is. I have played baseball and basketball my whole life (baseball since I was 4) I have played in several states and won many championships in baseball. I know how to win and I know what preparation needs to take place in order to give myself the best possible chance ti win.

When I put my time and money hauling my dog around all week and take time out of my weekends and money I worked hard for I want and expect a fair chance.

Getting gained up on by welfare abusers and old fellas who can't stand to get beat by a youth is just one of the few examples I have. There is only one word that comes to mind and that's unexceptable!!! I kept my mouth shut just waiting for things to improve and some hunts are a blast win or loose and when 4 good guys draw out together a good time is expected. I have no tollerance for guys that try to screw youth and inexperienced people out of a win just because "they can"

More and more emphasis is being created by these "top" handlers that you can win with anything if you use the grea area rules to youre advantage only. Coon hunters have the worst reputations of any other group of hunters and we wonder why that is.

Some people just want the bad to be covered up by saying it never happens until they themselves get the screwing then it becomes war with everyone.

All the cheats I have encountered I have yet to hold a grudge against them. I'm not one of those people that treats people the way I have been treated.

You want to know the best way to evaluate youre character. ASK YOURSELF IF EVERYONE HAD THE CHARACTER THAT I DISPLAY ON A CAST WOULD THERE BE MORE PEOPLE SHOW UP TO A HUNT OR WOULD THE HUNTS NO LONGER EXIST.

Jim, I do respect that and agree that 50% was a little over the top but almost every person that gets on this site has already entered at least one competition hunt. Joseph, you are exactly right.

Jim, what's better: Trying to find solutions to the problems or trying to cover them up and say they don't exist?

I don't have a problem with anyone airing out they're negative experiences on here, BUT a few things should be required or the post should be deleted...
1) Poster should use they're real name.... If they are going to sling mud they should at least be man enough to use there real name.
2) Post the Rule (per UKC Nite Hunt Honor Rules) that was violated. A majority of folks crying about getting cheated didn't know the rules to begin with, if they had they'd know the proper procedures for handling such things.
3) There is no need to run someone's name through the mud on here. If someone feels a particular person did them wrong, go through the proper channels and then call UKC to verify the situation was handled wrong. Feel free to give they're name to UKC, but not on here.
4) I have no problem with someone giving constructive criticism (been known to do that myself), but slandering someone based off of hearsay should not be tolerated. Unless you walked on the cast in question, or were present in the clubhouse to hear BOTH sides of the story, you really have no business giving an opinion.
These events are generally fun and a good time. Do I see things that could be improved? Nearly every event. That doesn't mean the clubs, members, or participants are doing anything wrong. If these events were as bad as this message board makes them seem you wouldn't see hundreds of folks attending them across the country every week.
If folks made an effort to know they're dogs strengths and weaknesses and would remember that they are just dogs, give your best effort to know and UNDERSTAND the rules, and use the proper procedures for handling questions from questioning a call in the woods, voting, presenting questions to the MOH or panel, and how to file a formal complaint and misconduct reports, these events would be so much better off.

WHAT SOME ARE TRYING TO SAY IS A PERSON THAT WAS NOT INVOLVED ON THE CAST WILL TAKE ONE MANS WORD AND GO RUNNING THERE MOUTH ABOUT ANOTHER DOG OR PERSON . IF YOU WERE NOT THERE DONT REPEAT IT . THE PEN IS SOMETIMES MIGHTIER THAN THE SWORD AND A LOT OF GOOD DOGS OR PEOPLE CAN GET A BAD REPUTATION OVER JELOUSY. A LOT OF HUNTERS CANT GET BEAT BY A BETTER DOG THEY HAD TO BE CHEATED OR A DOG HAD TO BE MEAN ETC.

treberta here is your solution wright them up no matter if it is 2 againts 1 or 3 against 1 if you beleive that you are right put it on paper if more people did this it might make UKC and other people awear of the ones that always have problems in there cast and start looking at these people.

OKIE Dawg you are 100% right call them out when you get back to the club, let other's know what went on. and i do beleive a person should be on here with there name because i would like to know who some of you are because I know that if we are ever drawed out together ther will be problems in the cast because if the way you are on here.

A wiseman once gave me this advice, "Skip, Once you realize your dog is not perfect, and it does make mistakes, you will realize you no longer get screwed near as much in these hunts." I was young, still am young, well i realized my dog screwed up, and I stopped getting screwed, alot. some of ya on here need to try it. Now my ? for the guys who dont post their names on here, but get on and say how much money they spend and time they put in, lets see your name so we can go to the other KC's standings and see how much time and money you put it. And you can do it your self for me, matter of fact, send me a private message and ill send ya one back with the links to view it. And i dont get on here very often, but dang, i try to make a postive post to get the negitive posts off here, and ill be ****ed if people dont go and try to argue and make this a negitive post, no wonder people on this forum are always getting cheat. How come there is none of this bad stuff on the other web sites, answer that one for all ye on here who is so smart with all the answers.
