I was on a cast one night and two bluetick men were argueing alittle about whos dog opened, just then the other blue dog opened and it ended the dispute. Both men were surprised how much them two sounded alike. When they are that close it helps to hear them both then you can pick out a slight difference. I had my black and tan in a cast with his mother and that was pretty close to, but once you hunt your dog enough you can pick out the voice even if they are similar. I do like listening to a good blue dogs voice in the woods.

My black dog is still under 2 and doing good but don't think he will be a great barn burner.

i had this problem in pkc cast about a month ago a guy strikes and trees his dog way through there well i get to listening and i'm like is (pointing in the direction of the only dog barking) that the dog your calling and he says yes well we proceed a couple of hundred yards and i ask him again is that the dog your calling and he is getting aggrivated and says yes thats my dog i look to the judge and tell him ibeliev that is my hound and i would like to strike and tree her now the guy that made the original call seemed real aggitated but when we got there it was my dog and the guy apologized and said she sounded just like his feamle. i don't know cause that was the only tree made i never got to hear his dog bark.
