Mr Judson you are certainly entitled to your opinion. I am not real sure what you are so wound up about. I am not twisting your arm and making you buy one. I hope the rest of your day goes better. Besides I dont drive toyotas.

I hope the puppy market is down and stays down. It will sort out the marketers and mills from those that are in this to create a better coondog.

I raised a litter of 12 B&T pups this winter out of my GrNt female that is somewhat proven and a young GrNt male who had just had 1 previous litter.

I've got 2 here that I will start and I probably had 15-20 calls from others wanting a pup after they were spoke for.

It was a cross I wanted to make but apparently I'm not too far out in left field because others wanted in on it, too.

Some people are doing ok and others don't need another mouth to feed. It wasn't to long ago that we didn't worry much about the cost of fuel and dog feed but just those 2 things are cutting into everything we do now.

John,

I'm finding the same thing. I am making a couple crosses myself, and don't have enough pups to "go around"......

taking 10 calls on average a week, folks looking for pups. Its gotten to the point now... the wife writes the name n number in a lil book with the date.

I just write them on the calender, with everything else.

We had a litter out of Harry II and our Nailor female. I could have sold 20-30 pups. I should have held out another 2 months to sell them instead I made a few deals and traded for Boer Goats, christmas time wasn't as good a time as I thought it would be, spring would have been better.

Patience isnt my strong suit. Success is a journey not a destination, I just dont enjoy my journey often enough, like enjoying those pups and waitin it out in faith, that I made the right cross for me and the pups will sell....because they would have and always seemed to in the past.... I just wanted to move em...not have patience. I missed about 800$ we figure on the last litter, it gets to the point its only another 100$ bill in 5 bags of feed for the extra what 2 1/2 months. They would have sold.

Your trick is advertising and free is better of course...heck just watch this board.....and there are a ton of free ways to advertise on the internet and a penny saver type of newspaper is 30$ for a month of advertising run an ad every other month. My word/name is worth it, I sold all of em local except 2 of 8 off of these ukc boards....jmo's
