Cricks and creeks are the same thing to me. Its a branch that you can wade or jump across.
Rivers and slews on the other hand require more technique to get around. Generally rivers require driving around and slews require a long walk , or a tree fell across it to cross on. Thats when you slip and fall in , and its always over your hip boots..
Hope that cleared up some coonhunting terminology...

I knew all of that its just I'd never heard of a Coolie before....
Also A Creek has water running in it and a Crick is what ya get in your neck.
