I'm sold on Tim's boots. I got the LaCrosse Burley Classic, and it's a lot tougher boot than the Alpha Burley Sports. You may have to wait on Tim's, but they are worth the wait. That is all that my feet will be carrying as long as I'm able to hunt and get them.

I've had the same problem with muck boots. Very comfortable but not durable, especially in the thick woods of eastern North Carolina. Switched to Lacrosse alpha burly
not a problem yet had them over a year.

muck boots are comfortable but it seems like they dont hold up to coon hunting, theyd probably work out good for a deer hunter. I had a pair and I wore them out in 1 season. Holes all over in them, the rubber is dry and cracked, neopreme catches everything, wore the inside of the boot rite out so they started tearing my feet all up. I hunt a lot, but still a pair of boots should be able to last longer then 1 year

I do not use snake boots, but i do use lacrosse insulated in winter and uninsulated in summer. Also use them in deer season. Only problem I have is my feet sweat so darn much if I do alot of walking.

I have a pair of Mucks I bought 6 years ago with 1000 denier hip waders I use as a backup. A few slow leaks when standing in water a while. I don't hunt in real thick country like some of you must. I hunt year round 3-4 nites a week.

I ended up getting the Muck Armour and using DANS chaps NOT attached. The Boots are a little heavier and took awhile to break in . I was not used to any resistance in the shin area. These are the snake proof version and are rubber all the way up.. I'll be sure to keep everyone updated. I liked my other mucks but after a couple of holes wanted to try something a little different. If you figure it out sneakers last me over a year and hunting boots and work boots under a year. So if i'm putting more miles on the boots and work shoes then i do sneakers and they are lasting longer ,I'm ok with that ...LOL
