Never ask a man what kind of dog he has. If he has a hound he'll tell you, if he does not, you don't want to shame him by asking.

yes that is for sure

They both have big mouths. About the only difference is II has a bawl on track. You might also want your hiking boots on when you turn him loose. He is goin to be deep and alone. These 2 and 1 other named dr death are the only 3 that have got this size and look to them.

The pups are growin for sure! I need to get out and get some pics od them to put on here. May try to do that this afternoon.

Blu

The only time he would be wide open on track for me is in august in a corn field race. II does look about the same in person. Blu has a little more square head but not much when you see them both side by side. Pictures can be deciveing but I have had both of them at my house hunting them and if one wasnt blue you would have a had time telling them apart.
Here is some more of II

Their dads pic. This is Buckley Creek Timber.

One more this is sassy a female out of timber. She is one of my favorites. Big mouth good looks and big for a female.

Fine French Hounds

Steve,

Glad to see you are spreading the word back east on these fine French hounds and the potential of future crosses. I got my all blue Sugar Creek bitch bred to Drifter, my pure French GGS male on christmas day!
Both are 28"-29"and95#. Some true "oldfashioned" pups are on the way.
Here Scout...here boy...

The future crosses that will work the best, are with the old blood that has some concentration French GGS in it already. For now only pics will tell, but in the future I believe DNA will be able to tell for sure. I have yet to find out the names of the GGS that Bill Green had in order to do a pedigree search, except Cowboy, a male. I think that Ann of Fairlee or one of her parents were also.

Tim I guess will still have alot of Dots to Cross Find out Everything !!

But the biggest Part You Have Done I believe in Just Getting the French Hounds Here !!!!

Their's a Future of Breeding and Testing to Be Done and I just Wish I was about 20 years younger and be in the Same State as Right Now !!!!!

Plus I think Somethings Going to Happen When the French Blood Hits the Bloodhound !!! Who Knows !!

Where abouts is durango at. I would love to come up for a day or 2 and visit with ya. Maybe even catch some dog work. These majestic hounds are new to me and the frechies are even newer to me. But I would love to pick your brain and get to see some of your stock. If it would work out for you let me know. It probably wont be until spring.

Those are some good acting pups, I saw them at my place on Steves way through.

Blaine, get ahold of me in the spring. I may be in Texas hunting for lion then.

Steve, This Lilly cross I made has some bloodhound in it. These pups show some bloodhound traits. Since the GGS originated with two types of bloodhounds, the cross you are going to make will nick it pretty hard I am sure.

Will do Mr. Tim

I am gettin my hounds started on hogs right now. Got a new catch dog and a plott female that likes piggys. Got a couple cat dogs in the mix now too. Hopefully get these majestics started on cats once they get a little age on them. Supposed to have a lot of bobcats around also but havent looked for any trcks yet. May have to get after them here before to long.

Heck Tim I missed this Post !! Man My First Cross Won't be till 2011 ..

You'l have a 100 Pups on the Ground by Then !!

Look Guys Get your Hands on one of Tim's Pups !!!!

Eather the Pure GS or one of the Crosses !!! You Can't go Wrong !!

We really need to know the Full Potential of the GS on American Game Large and Small .. I can Tell ya Right Now My Female Sure Likes Coon and Cats !!!

She has been running with my other Pups and I'am not seeing a Big Difference in they way the Hunt, But She may be learning to Check trees and running her nose down a log.. But she is with 12 other Pups

Maybe if 1 of my pups were with 12 GS pups they may learn a different Style of Hunt .. ??

Blaine for Hundreds of years they have Mostly been run in Large Packs and Mostly on Boar and Stag.. So all of our hunting would be different then the way they were Bred. But Tim and Gavin "The African" have been running in smaller Units 3-4 hounds . I have Seen other Boar Hunting with 3-4 GGS .
But Coon hunting Alone or with a Small Cast would be Much Different.. But if the Scent goes up a tree they still have Drive and want to Catch that a hound needs to Tree Game..

Blaine This is some of their Cast Hunting Looks like..

Steve and Tim

Now I definately want to get some of this blood!! It wold fit right in with our hog pack!! Man I would love to hear that on a boar down here. Right now I have 2 english 1 plott and 1 walker. Also 1 pit for our catch dog. So we have 5 man team right now. I would like to have 8 all together in the end. But it would break down with 6 hounds and 2 pits. I would be willing to try any crosses that you think would work for this. But unlike most smaller game hunting I need them to all pack together. I dont want to be chasing 3 different pigs and only have 1 or 2 catch dogs. Right now all 4 dogs get worked together tryin to get them to hunt together may be a challenge but I am hopeing for the best.

I would like to keep my majestics for bear and cat. Didnt know if they would be good as hog hounds. Still young right now anyway.

GS x Sugar Creek cross pups

The whole litter is booked. I will go through the list and make calls this weekend to see who is still in and who is out.

There will be some exciting GGS crosses made in the next few years.

Man I been watching videos

I never knew they had that many videos of them. They re very impressive to watch. They run them the way we used to run coyote hounds. But they have way better mouths then what we used to run. Wow!! I could listen to that all day!

But their are Hound Fokes All Over the World !! Get to Know them !! This Guy is in Costa Rica and He has one Heck of a Blue Hound !!!!! These Hounds in Costa Rica are (By What I can Tell) Mostly Crosses of French Hounds/Bloodhounds/Bassetts
