You didn't say anything about the type and style of dog you prefer, what type of terrain you hunt, or how you hunt (in the woods, from the truck, etc.).

I'm assuming your female goes back to Nichols Creek Banner. Could be wrong.

You didn't put enough info. behind your question to expect anyone to give a well-thought answer. Nearly impossible to give a good answer to a question without understanding the facts behind the question.

These two hounds are two of the best I have had the pleasure to follow. They were accurate, could move a track excellent, both classy treedogs. They are outstanding competition hounds that you can pleasure hunt and have a great time with. They both like to get alone but the Lipper dog is very independent.
Warrior got a double shot of Sackett Jr.Image is grandpup of Lipper and Sackett Jr.
I would hunt with different studs and make a decision based on their performance.

OH YES UKC DOES. IT IS BASED ON TOTAL NUMBER OF NTCHS AND GRAND NITE CHAMPIONS COMBINED DIVIDED BY TOTAL NUMBER OF PUPS PRODUCED MULTIPLIED BY 100 FOR THE MAGIC NUMBER FOR THE REPRODUCERS LIST.

BUT IF YOU WANT TO SEE IT DONE LIKE THAT...OKAY.

SACKETT JR
2072 PUPS PRODUCED
149 GRAND NITE CHAMPIONS
261 NITE CHAMPIONS
410 TOTAL

LIPPER HAD:

5103 PUPS PRODUCED
115 GRAND NITE CHAMPIONS
290 NITE CHAMPIONS
405 TOTAL

THIS IS BASED ON YOUR METHOD...

SACKETT JR'S PERCENTAGE:
261 GRNTCHS / 2072 OFFSPRING = 0.125965 * 100 = 12.5965%

LIPPER'S PERCENTAGE:
290 GRNTCHS / 5103 OFFSPRING = 0.056829 * 100 = 5.68293%

STILL NO COMPARISON LIPPERS IS NOT EVEN 1/2 JRS EITHER WAY YOU FIGURE IT.

Dolly

Dolly is a very independent cold nosed, got to have a coon in order to stop, ball mouth on track, hard chop on tree, go hunting type of dog. She does not care what the other dogs do on track or tree. She sometimes takes a rougher track than most people would like but if left alone will usually finish them with a coon. She is a little narrow in her head and chest and can throw a little smaller dog than average. She usually influences the pups tree mouth more than their track mouth. She has produced top dogs from BlackCreek Doc, (Sackett Jr. grandson) Rat Shot, (Rat Attack son) and Traveling Man Mack (Ozark Preacher and Nailer). I personally like all types of dogs that are acurate but i prefer dogs like Dolly that are independent and acurate. Our terrain and hunting conditions can range from moderate to extremely rough, (hurricane blow down in water along the edges of cut overs). I won't say we have the roughest country to hunt thats out there but it is very tough in some places. Dolly does have Nichols Creek Banner 4 times (Houses Chief) Lipper 3 times, Skuna River Lipper 1 time, Houses Hank 2 times, and Houses Tom 5 times.

if you could find some conger's lawtoo, house's lawyer/house cruze linebred blood without any nailor/jr, in it ,,it should give you some early starting ,hard treeing coondogs that will stay treed with the meat,,notice i didnt say nitehunt dogs,,before someone says they have to see coon to get titles ,thats right but the dogs with the titles may not be the ones who did the work to get the coon up the tree,,enough said,,

the bear dog or the PSYCHO dog will give you more house coondog with out watering down the blood if you want to keep what you got going .....
just cause lipper had more pups than jr. with less title % dont mean there was less coondogs from lipper,he just got bred to more coonhunters females wanting coondogs,,

Sounds like the type of dog I like. I like dogs that can take the tough tracks and show you the meat. Accuracy is the most important thing.

Based on the crosses you made, I'd probably prefer the Preacher cross. I could be wrong on this. But, my reasoning is that if you hunt tougher terrain like cut overs, and heavy briars that come with cut overs, you need a smarter dog to figure the track out correctly. I saw more intelligence and sense in the Preacher dogs than I saw in most others (thats years back).

Preacher, Hillbilly Mac, old Lone Pine are worth looking at. A combination of these could work great, but, it's still got to be the right dog. It's ability + brains. Strike Power and Tree Power may get you a lot of strikes and trees, but without intelligence you may not get the right results (especially in thick terrain).
