Good luck to all who enter a dog in any event there.
That being said, I am torn on the issues that the others are talking about. While I have not stepped up to offer my physical support, I have offered my financial support for the lat two years and will continue to do so.
My only complaint is this. We try so hard to team up with these other hunters groups, but when rub,ber meets the road, do they support our rights as hunters? Some of the reason we have this ridiculous quiet season crap is because of the Turkey and Deer hunters... Where is our help when it comes to having our dogs put up for 3 months. I am not a competition hunter, haven't done it seriously since I was in High School, but loved it and still enjoy it occasionally.
Unfortunately, for me and thousands of other pleasure hunters in Michigan, we are left to either set up a parcel of land with the DNR, which I attempted last year and by the time I got the paperwork back, ( I drew the parcel picture back and they sent it back lol) quiet season was over, or break the law to run my dog. Option 2 is not really an option. I have a Federal job and would like to keep it, a ticket would result in a loss of said job, besides the fact that it is wrong for me to break the law, it is tempting. Do something about our quiet seaon please!
That is my only complaint. Jeff, Larry, and Company thanks for all you do.
Again, good luck in the hunt show and the other events, I know you guys all work your dogs real hard to get to that level of competition.
Jeff congrats on yer win in Lakeview with Razor.
