Flooring

I have built a couple above ground kennels my self , got tired of pressure washing the concrete plus could tell in time the concrete was cause problems with my hounds feet, Here is a link , to where I ordered my hog flooring from it was also the cheapest I had found.

This is what I ended up doing. I couldn't be happier with them. I used 2X3's spaced 1 1/2" apart. I just put a 2X3 on edge inbetween them as a spacer when I screwed them down. I them hit them with a non-toxic waterseal that was around $10 a gallon. One gallon of the water seal was more than enough to do 3 kennels. It did take the dogs a little while to get used to the slatted floors. It does work good now! It is virtually self cleaning. I might take a garden rake and knock it through the slats everyother day or so but for the most part it just falls right through.

It's either a wiffle ball or a "Lipper Egg" . That's where blackheaded treedogs come from you know.

ok, I love the 10 foot x 10 foot kennel we have three of them,

With the 4 1/2 foot x 4 1/2 foot ( 6x6's purchased from auction $1.80 a board 14ft long)wood built dog houses, inside..... than they can jump up and down on.. over n over....like the hyper active coon dogs that they are, and slimmed down from jumpin.

and on gravel with Grass growin around the bottom of the kennels ..that they will eat from time to time.

under shade trees and behind the barn cant see -em.

ya'll can have your fancy, too cramped, too hot, dog houses and pay too much for em

JMO.

Well you can try and winter a dog in a great big doghouse and let it freeze if you want. Also if a dog is that hyper in the kennel it prolly needs to spend just a bit more time in the woods!

I like to be able to see my dogs. Not behind the barn. Out of sight out of mind. JMO.

Thanks Bill. Suppose to cool down this weekend. Got some leaves starting to change and some farmers cutting a few beans...fall's a coming.

Anyone looking at Seneca and their Kennels, Boxes, or Houses Bill can get you set-up. I ordered the "coon-dog" kennes last year from Bill. They are the absolute top of the line custom kennel.

Slowly making changes, this was how I started out, planning on a roof over it this fall and fresh paint has been put on since pic was taken. I have been looking at the polymax flooring I think it would work great.

Here is a link to the site to get the flooring http://www.farmtek.com/webapp/wcs/s...ds=&isDoc=N
