I loved seeing vickers get wrecked and kyle busch also. It was ok when vickers wrecked jr on the last lap at talladega in 06 or what about when busch spun jr last year at richmond.

"PERSONALLY"

I thought it was a good watch compared to most of them restricter plate race's. You can't do much about "MA NATURE" & the whole feild was racing the impending rain.

We all knew that unless you didn't have the volume on on your tube. If ya havn't learned yet that the cream rise' in the last few lap's of them kinda race's your confused a lil.

"OK", shrub was up front for a good share of it but was tryin to wreck himself to stay there. The seasoned been there done that driver's don't worry 'bout leading the most lap's in order to win there. History of practically everyone of them for the past several year's prove's that.

Did you watch the shoot out & the dual's? Same thing just different day's for the most part.

History has shown rain shortin race's happen. As far as wimperin cuz it didn't go the full length, did ya hear them say it would be 11:00 pm or after before they could hopefully get it in "IF" no more came behind that? I know I did & I hate it when they drag them out like that hence the desiscion to call it was good with me regardless of who was up front.

I highly doubt that Helton did it just so Kenseth could win like I have read on some other thread's/forum's. Matt started 43rd & didn't take long to get to the lead pack. Say's a lil sumthin about his ride & driving ability in my book. It's called positioning & he had done just that. When the word came over the rodideo that it was about to get wet he went with a good push from Harvick who undoubtably had his own agenda in mind for doing such. I'm sure it wasn't to help the Dewalt car win but "Positioning" himself for the potential opportunity.

Either way ya slice it & know matter how much wimperin ya feel the need to do it's over & done like many other's have been & will be due to "Ma Nature's" desiscion.

I thought it was a respectable win even though I have Dewalt tool's & am a #17 fan since he started. He sat in his car waitin to go again or what have ya instead of settin on the wall with his wify beggin for the rain to continue like dip stick Waltrip did to earn one of his two or three win's in his lack luster career.

The most annoying person involved in Nascar in my opinion & mine only of course.

As far as the Vicker's vs Jr thing, I think Vicker's got what he deserve's just to bad it took out so many other car's. Why where they a rastlin over the "Lucky dawg" crap? Because of the impending rain & runnin outa time thing. Vicker's had half his car below the double yellow blockin. Sure it has been said that it was all "Legal" on his part but if you don't have the car or momementum you either get out of the way or pay the consequence's. His post crash wimperin is just that,"WIMPERIN" !

Personally, I think they should restart just like they do at our home dirt track's. Double file & lap down car's at the back instead of bein up in the expecting to cause a wreck zone.

How 'bout the Busch race? Ya I know it's not called that anymore but did ya happen to see the continuous attempt by the shrub to move/wreck Stewert to get the win only to fall back a few hole's due to his own stupidity ? How 'bout the back of Hendrick's I mean stewert car when it was over? The whole back end was pushed in from the twit & it didn't help him a bit! How Stewert kept from wreckin was amazing to watch. Although I don't think much of ol fuzz face ya can't help but to be impressed with his ability as a driver in that situation.

I was grinnin like a possum crawlin out of a dead cow when he fell back & got took out in the 500. Like he hasn't ever done that before or will again.

The "#17 Dewalt Ford & Matt Kenseth from scenic Wisconsin" won the race & will be in the history book's as such for ever more.

Sure, mother nature shortened it but that's the way the cow pie splatter's when they eat green grass for the first time!!

I could be wrong here, but I think the field is a lot more level than when the Intimidator ran. Im not sure you can put yester year and today on the same set of scales.

If that were the case does it mean that a dog granded in todays hunt is a lesser dog due to the competition leval of yester year??? After all their was alot more competition in the hunts then as now? No, at the time Dale Sr was Nascar and always will be in my book. He would win today just like he did then. JMO

Racing was racing like Corky and scrapiron said in the 80's. Now some of those drivers talk like they have a little lace on their underwear. Used to be men running that you would look at and almost be in awe over. Now your kid can look half of them in the eye to get their autograph. Nascar should have stayed in the South and kept catering to the working man and that liffestyle. They now are all about the almighty $$. But who aint, I reckon!!JMO

I was convinced that Stewart was a goner Saturday with Kyle behind him. Looks like the better driver of the two came out on top.

I hate that so many cars were taken out with Vickers in the 500, but it was great seeing the 18 as one of them! I hate to say this but Kyle is even more of a punk that Kurt. I would have loved for JR to admit that he punted Vickers and was glad to see Kyle caught up in it. Those two dudes have a short memory when it comes to JR and in my mind got a taste of what they had coming.

It was nice seeing someone like Kenseth come out on top in the 500. I am not a Kenseth fan, but he is one driver that has earned much respect.

Looks like the new Stewart-Haas team may just be a contender.

I hated the way the 500 ended but I guess Kenseth liked it that is about the only way a Ford could win at Daytona. I hate to see the season start with a rain out. I'm not worried at all about my 48 car because when the money and the championship is on the line during the chase they have for the last 3 seasons gotten the job done. To be the man you've got to beat the man until then you are just second best. I am looking for 4 in a row. That's championships not races!

The lucky dog rule is one of the most stupid rules nascar has. Why give someone a free lap. They screwed up or they wouldn't be a lap down to start with. This race really shows how dumb it is. If your a lap down you should line up at the tail end of the field. Not in the front where your sorry driving can take out alot of the lead cars. As far as the Vickers wreck he kept asking for it and he got it. He should have better sense than to keep trying to block cars that are obviously faster than him. It's a race Go or Get Out Of The Way!

Nice joke! Of course a 2X Nascar Champion doesn't back it up.lol

Maybe Stewart left for the opportunity to own his own team. That I might add didn't cost him a penny of his own money. Who would turn that down? Not to mention Smoke had a contract with Chevy. Anyone notice that Smoke mentioned that it was great to be back in a Chevy during victory lane Saturday?

Not sure how the chase did anything to Kyle last year. He just choked when it mattered. J/K

Yeah keep talking you may convince yourself Busch is good.

Busch is a big wreck waiting to happen. Out of control for most parts. Just hope he doesn't kill someone.

Busch ever gets his bell rung hard he'll think twice before driving like he does.

Blocking is a real dumb thing at the speed tracks. bad things always happen.

Sr. would still probably be alive if he didn't do that.

That man could drive a car. He would punt you out of the way too if you tried blocking many times.

As far as Jr. being like his dad, never. racing is so much different now.

Dale Jr himself has said that Kyle drives a lot like his Dad. People give him credit. he has the guts to put himself up front. yes, he probably will end up like Sr but he pushes it.
