TRACK DOGS

Let's do our homework. If you really think about it
we all know where that track blood is....if your a
bluetick man you know
redbone man you know
english man you know
plott man you know
black & tan man you know
cur man you know
leapord man you know
walker man

Why breed to the limb when you can breed to the STUMP

Michigan Guys

I dont know about up North in the snow. But I know down here in rough country, if you want to push a cold track, and thats what they are down here 90% of the time, cold, your best bet is to have a blue dog. If any of you guys would like to come down and test that theory, Id be glad to take you hunting. I just hope that we can find your dog at the end of the night. There is one thing I will say, the only other dog that I have seen consistently be able to move a cold track in the right way has been an English dog. And apparently English dogs are doing something right. One won the world and another just won Battle of the Breeds.

Rough Country

Yeah it does get VERY ROUGH down here, sometimes downright miserable! I like to see dogs from different parts of the country come here. I know it doesnt seem like Oklahoma would be very rough, but Ill tell ya only one other place has been as rough so far and thats Tenn. Man that place was horriable or maybe I was just hunting in the wrong place. lol

A stump stands on its head all day, and a limb just goes back and forth all night
Poor Analogy K-Dubb Would of expected better from you.... Just get a Cord dog and jump on this wagon that moves as fast up-hill as most wagons move down hill

Not judging your dogs or your preference in breed, but will honestly say that certain hounds prefer grabbing the first track they come across which most of the time will of course be a cold rough track. I own one that does just that no matter where I un-snapp him at. (Walker) And to be honest I can't stand it for the most part. Point being it doesn't mean that 90% of the time thats the only track out there, it just means 90% of the time your dog is striking a cold track. JMO

I have 2 young females here who are under 3 yrs old who do a good job on a old cold feeder track or a hot off the tailgate track. Louann is Sackett Jr and Clover bred she will be 3yrs. old 3/09 has been real good about having the coon $200.00 PKC winnings in 6 open events. Skunk is double Clover bred will be 3 12/08 needs $128.00 to be PKC Champ both are nice track and tree hound they will be bred to keep the Sackett Jr. Clover crosses here at Timberlake Kennels I think the Sackett and Clover cross works JMO Mike Cayton

Wow Iam really shocked at this one
If your stump stands on it's head all day and your limb
goes back and fourth all night and you can pull a wagon
with a cord ? Keep diggin on that stump you'll find
strong roots=FOUNDATION... I guess Radio Flyer had
to start some where too..

Gr Nt Ch Runnin Gun

Gun is an old blue dog off Runnin Bullet. He is 11 years old and can still take a track away from a 3 year old. Better yet, he is reproducing his likeness. I think old Bullet helped add some giddy up to some of the blue dogs. Hunted with a couple walkers out of House's Tom Again around 15 years ago. Those rascals could flat scald a track, hot or cold!

K-Dubb, I am a lost for words... Well maybe not, if you really think about it, even roots die in time. I want something that will stand the test of time.

ps. This Wagon I'm referring to moves on its own. Never pull a Wagon with a Cord K-Dubb. Cord may break and shock the living $hit out of you, then you will end up in a COMA. Is that what you really want???? Didn't think so

Just touching on that. I am a type of guy, that if my dog passes up a coon, and then doesnt strike one after that, then he has passed up the only track at that spot. And down here, that happens alot, Not very many coons, not very many tracks. So I think I would prefer a cold cold track then no track at all.
