Any of yall SEC flag wavers wanna make a friendly wager? I've said it before and say it again, this year the Big 12 is better than the SEC from top to bottom, and there is no doubt about it! Might wanna look at the candidates for awards this year and see what conference they're from....Florida is good, Tebow is a great leader, have great team speed, but will lose to an even higher powered offense in OU!!

First off Congrats to UF they played a great game and they came out on top in the end and in that's all that matters.But all I heard last week was blow out by 3 TD's,explosive offense,Bama don't have a chance.Alabama lost a very good game and my hat's off to the Gators and Tebow but it didn't go quite as alot had it planned.The 4th quarter was a disaster for Bama 1 yard of offense,3:00 mins of poss.I'm still a proud Tide fan and I'm glad to see them do as well as they have.And before I get bashed for trying to make excuses I'm not(none to be made) I'm just stating facts.For a no-speed,all power football team that couldn't match up I think we held our own.Here are the stats.

i remember a post goin around a couple weeks ago that had some 20 dollar bets goin around if ou got in the NC game well ive still got my 20 on OU i just cant remember who i bet the cash to. if you remember pipe up and lets get it goin, i cant wait till jan 8th thats gonna be the day im 200 dollars richer ive got a few other side bets with some other folks that are florida fans and ill be glad to take there money. i dont think it will be a blowout but i definatley think florida cant quite out score ou and OUs defence has english back to stop the gators.

all yall Florida fans that believe Florida is the clear favorite and is going to trounce OU just remember what happened 2 years ago when there was a GREAT UNTOUCHABLE team that had a great running and passing quarterback who was the heisman favorite, blah blah blah. and some under dog took them behind the wood shed. I'm not saying that Florida is going to lose but, as someone else said, if Florida goes into it conceited and as the "Chosen One" then OU might have 28 points before Florida knows what happened. Just ask Graham Harrell...

I am not conceited, I watched OU, put the shelacking to MO, they did it with a big offencive line, that gave there QB lots of time, I think Fla May have the better DBs tho so we will see

I'm talking about how the big bad Ohio state buckeyes, and Troy Smith and how they were big time favorites over the lowly gators. but we saw what happened there.

I personally think Florida will when a shoot out, but I find it interesting how not to long ago Florida pulled the upset in a similar situation and SOME Florida fans seem to have forgotten that the big boys can fall.

Just my two cents worth. I'm an ECU and NC STATE Fan... so i probably don't know what I'm talking about. LOL

All & all, it was a great game. The "Gators" just keep proving that when they are put to the challange, they now how to bring it. Alabama was like the '07 NFL Patriots, undefeated all year, but when it counts, they forgot to bring their "A" game.
I'm still confused about why Florida is playing Oklahoma and not Texas, when Texas has already beaten Oklahoma early this year on a neutural field.

Was Ole Miss. even ranked in the top 25 when they beat the mighty Gators, but then they come back & WHIP UP ON THE CITADEL, WOW.

At least OU got beat by a top 10 RANKED TEAM, Texas got beat by a top 10 RANKED TEAM, TEXAS TECH. got beat by a top 10 RANKED TEAM.

As for that NEUTRAL FIELD stuff, the last time I looked Dallas was still located in the STATE OF TEXAS. That would be like you coming back here to Southern Illinois & we hunt in a spot that I Only hunt 1-2 times a year & we call it a NEUTRAL SIGHT.

The fix for all this is to let TX, Play alabama in the Sugar Bowl, and then if TX Blows out Alabama , they have a Lagit argument for the # 1 spot

Ahh, college football = controversy. If I had it my way I would make a playoff system that would settle most arguments. Simply take the top 16 BCS and top 16 Non BCS teams and make two brackets. One with the #1 BCS and #2 Non BCS and the other with the #1 Non BCS and the #2 BCS and match the seeds up accordingly with 8 BCS and 8 Non BCS in each bracket. Start the season earlier, and cut out the games like Mich - App. St, Florida - Citadel, Oklahoma - Chatanooga. I mean come on who wants to see these kind of games anyways?? But back to the point of this thread. Bama simply lost to the better team. But anyone who gets up and watches college gameday on saturday morning to the last game on saturday night knows that the Big 12 is where its at. The SEC is a good conference but really the only true powerhouses are Florida, Bama and Georgia. The SEC is down this year LSU, Auburn, Tennessee, and South Carolina are all big time schools with great coaches but dont even come close to making the SEC the toughest conference in college football. The Big 12 is no doubt the best conference on paper with 5 teams in the top 25 and 3 heisman candidates in Harrel (Tex Tech), Bradford (OU), and McCoy (Tex). Throw in QB`s Reising (KU) and Daniel (Mizz), WR`s Crabtree (Tex Tech) and Bryant (Ok. St.), HB`s Hunter (Ok. St.) and Brown (OU) and you have quite a list of awards finalists as well. In the Championship I think OU wins BIG! The 65-21 @$$ whoopin on #2 Texas Tech is convincing enough. They outscore their opponents 54 - 24.5 with a whopping average of 562.1 yards of total offense. Florida averages 442.4 total yards on offense and outscores their opponents 45-12.8. Florida is a great team with a lot of talent but in my opinion they havn`t beaten the talent Oklahoma has beat.
