'97 F-150 4wd - 423,000 miles. Had transmission rebuilt last year, only major money I've spent on it.

Good post, apparently everything we make isn't junk as the media would have us believe. I've always drove GM because I like them and made my living there. Usually do about 30,000 a year but don't keep them longer than 5 years. All these years I've only had 1 that wasn't dependable. Now driving a 07 GMC crew cab Duramax and get about 23 highway and 17 to 19 around town. It's had a little help from ' powerupdiesel.biz' .

also had a 1950 Willis with chevy V6 and it was lime booger green. everybody around town called it the "Big Green Booger" dad and i restored it several years ago. It didn't have but like 75,000 or so, but that is a lot for a 50 model. we changed out the factory 4 cylinder for the V6 and rebuilt the trans. we had to cut the frame in half and replace some places due to rusting as well.

They are fun to play with. My dad had like 8 at one time. He would find them and most people would just give them to you to get them out of their way. We used 3 to make the "Booger". He also had a Military style Willis Jeep that he sold and that guy still has it and drives that thing around I believe it was a 45 or 46 model. My dad did buy a pick up Willis and we took it off the frame and was going to put it on a Ford frame, but he wound up trading it before we got it finished for a 69 model CJ 5 jeep that we restored. They are really cool when you get the restored because you don't see many around. Dad never showed them or anything we just drove them in the parades around town and stuff. The "Booger" was a hunting machine LOL no matter how far out you got with that thing; that lime green color was easy to spot!!

I was thinking the same thing about knocking on wood. My father N Law said I won't even buy one until it gets 100,000 on it

I have 92 chev. 1500 4.3 V6 Auto 2wd 152,000 hard miles as a daily driver,

I have a 93 Ranger ext Cab 4WD 4.0 V6 5 Spd. 216,000 for a coonhunting truck

I have an 87 F150 4WD that I used to hunt in until gas started rising like it has in the past few years. (Miles unknown)

I also have a 93 Ranger 2 WD 2.3 5spd that was a daily driver until I rolled it 190, 000 miles ( currently looking for a windsheild and part of a cab for it now)

HUMMMM!! I guess he's right

Happy driving If they'll all make it to 400,000 with out any troubles maybe I can buy my wife a new car and me a new dog LOL

225,000 miles. Original engine & transmission. The old truck leaks more oil than it uses, but is still makes it from point A to point B! LOL
