I've never had any kind of ticket or anything at all but I've been told by folks down here in Georgia where I live that if your caught killing any type of game out of season they take your truck, take your guns, take your dogs, and you lose your hunting priveleges for life.

I have heard some of that around here but never actually knew of anyone getting their truck taking even when shooting from the truck window. I know of guys that have done alot of things but normally all they get are tickets. Two boys just recently shot a buck spotlighting all they received was 500 dollar fines. I know here in Missouri you have to receive 16 points to get your priveleges revoked then it is normally for only a year. Different offences are different amount of points. while in high school 2 kids got turned in for shooting rare bats they found casings and had a discribtion of the truck well GW visited first boy and he spilled his guts. GW went to 2 kids house and he wasn't home, later that night the GW got a call on spotlighters well he caught them and it ened up being the 2 kid. So he had him for shooting a deer out of season with the aid of a light plus shooting rare bats, he recived about 750 dollars in fines and loss of hunting rights for 3 years. Thats the most I have seen happen plus maybe a little community service. Another kid recently lost his for a year for shooting a turkey from the road out of season and about 6 months prior for taking doves without a licence

Justin,
You are correct about the point system in Missouri. However, it is very possible to have truck, guns, etc. seized as well. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.
