Randy-

How do you edited, or add to a pedigree of a dog other than your own?

For example: Hardwood Elvis Attack has his top side inplace, but only his dam on the bottom. I was going to add the bottom side, but couldn't figure out how to edited the pedigree.

Is this something that I can do or not?

Not to steal this from Randy but, yes you can enter his other ancestors and link them back to him.

If it says the parents are not in the database, that means you have to enter them in first. If you don't know there parents just leave the Sire and Dam text boxes blank. However, if you do know the parents, put them in first. In otherwords, put in the dogs as far to right on your pedigree as it goes and work your way left. I hope I made sense.

If the parents to the Dam, that doesn't show any Sire and Dam, are already in the database, just click on her record and up at the top at the right you can edit her parents and save them to her. If they are not in the database, you will need to put them in manually. Then connect them. Hope that helps.

Randy, can you put the options of FCH, GRFCH, WCH and GRWCH on the titles section.

Also, if the registered owner is not a user of the site how do you put them in the owners slot?

Oh and one more thing, I tried to add a date of death and saved it but when I came back to it it still was not listed.

Oh, I forgot one more thing, The site looks great. Keep up the good work.

I'll add them now.

If they are not a member, just type in their name
Which dog? on the death thing.

It would probably work better if you just emailed directly. I don't check the message boards as often as my email.

Yes, just go to file print preview. You can make it look any way you like, then print. You will probably want to make it landscape then shrink to fit by making it around 85%.

Randy, I tried to add a new hound and when I put her parents in it only allowed me to save the dam.
When I tried to add the dams parents it would not save them.

It still will not allow me to add a DOD or a DOB on any of the hounds I have tried. Basically all the HOO HOO HOLLOW dogs.

Also could you add CCH for conformation champion and CGCH for conformation grand champion to the titles list since that is becoming a more popular title now a days.

Thanks, if you have any questions feel free to call me 804-704-0336

Thanks for doing such a nice job on the site.

I just went to Haley and added a DOB with no problem. Are you using the auto calendar to the right of the text box?

Give me all the info on the dog that you can't enter in. It may be that you have a dog already in there and the parents, but do not have them connected. If that is the case, go to the dog, then in the top right corner go to parents and select edit, then type in the Sire and Dam and Save.

I'll add the titles now.

Randy, on Southern Edition I went to the parents and clicked edit. I put Second Edition for the sire and Michigan Miss for the dam. I clicked save and the only thing that saved was the dam.

I went to the dams pedigree and when I saved the sire and dam neither one of them saved.

The date.... I was clicking on the auto calander box and selecting a date. I hit save and it saved but never stayed as a permenant thing. When I would come back and view the dog later there would be no date of birth or date of death.

I tried to enter a DOD for Koda.

Sorry about the earlier post. The DOB is working fine. It is the DOD that will not update.

RANDY, I FIGURED OUT HOW TO GET THE PARENTS UPDATED.

I DIDNT REALIZE THAT YOU WOULD HAVE TO CREATE A NEW HOUND FIRST AND THEN GO BACK AND ADD IT TO THE PEDIGREE.

THE DOD AND BEING ABLE TO ADD THE OWNERS INFO IF THEY ARE NOT USERS ON HERE ARE STILL NOT WORKING.

EXAMPLE: SECOND EDITION OWNED BY DAVE OR JOANNE DOLIBER. I TRIED TO PUT THEM IN AS THE OWNERS BUT IT WILL NOT ALLOW IT.

Randy, I have been adding dogs to the database.

After I have added a couple dogs from the same cross and then click on siblings it says 0 siblings.

Hoo Hoo Hollow Caught Red Handed and OW's Sierra Legacy are siblings but it does not show that.

To add a sibling to one already in the database, just add a dog, and in the Sire and Dam, start typing their names and they should come up for you to select. Then save. For Pups, you just type in the pup's name and add the parents in the same way. What kind of errors do you have?
