jarrodd, i know how it feels to not have a tracker on my dog. we hunted without one for two years, now that we have had one for about a year and a half, we found that its not much different.....you still lose dogs any way....we have lost many dogs with trackers and they dont return until days later......ireally hope one ofthose blue dogs is abe......keep us posted.....

how deep is his voice??? if it is very deep than the coyotes will not bother him!! tryin 2 cheer u up a bit i will keep a lookout just in case he crossed the river and then went 37 miles east.

I am just about to cry because I feel so bad. I miss Abe about as much as you do and i have never even seen the dog!!! I am still hopeing and praying that you fing the guy and get him back to safety. remember that walker male that has 7 ukc titles that was like white with a few brown spots, he was gone for 5 months. she still found that hound and he had a tracker on. I really hope you find him jarrod. I wish I could do more! I highly doubt coyotes will go after him unless theyr really hungry......I hope they are well fed just incase though!!!!

I'm heartbroken he's not back yet... but thought about you lots while we were gone for the weekend, sending good thoughts he will be returned, safe and sound.... I was sad to see he is not back yet-BUT HOPEFUL!

Will be looking on petfinder myself, CONSTANTLY for you once I catch up on sleep... you don't get much at Bikeweek in Laconia NH...

THEY HAD A WALKER FEMALE NAMED QUEENIE. THEY ROAD HUNTED HER IN FRONT OF QUINCY'S TRUCK ALOT WHEN SHE WAS HERE IN THE MOUNTAINS.

WELL, THEY TURNED HER LOOSE WITH SOME OTHER DOGS AND LOST HER ON FRIDAY NIGHT. THEY LOOKED ALL WEEKEND WITH NO LUCK.

WHEN THEY LEFT SUNDAY EVENING, STILL NO QUEENIE.

WELL, LIKE 3 MONTHS LATER THEY WENT BACK DOWN THERE. AND WERE RIDING OUT THIS GRAVEL ROAD CLOSE TO THE CAMP AND QUINCY'S COUSIN CAUGHT A GLIMPSE OF A DOG COME OUT OF THE BUSHES AND WAS CHASING QUINCY'S TRUCK.

LEE SAID "WHOA QUINCY THAT LOOKS LIKE OLE QUEENIE!" THEY STOPPED THE TRUCK AND SURE ENOUGH IT WAS!!! SHE HEARD HIS TRUCK AND CAME OUT TO IT TO GO ROAD HUNTING I GUESS!

SHE HAD A SEMI NEW COLLAR ON WITH A MAN'S NAME ON IT. THEY PUT HER IN THE TRUCK AND DROVE OUT TO THE STATION AND CALLED THE MAN AND GOT DIRECTIONS TO HIS HOUSE.

QUEENIE HAD WANDERED AWAY FROM HER NEW HOME!

THE GUY WAS SO ASTONISHED THAT THE PEOPLE THAT HAD ORIGINALLY OWNED HER HAD BROUGHT HER BACK TO HIM THAT HE TOLD THEM IF THEY WANTED HER BACK TO TAKE HER. HE DIDNT COON HUNT AND SHE RAN LOOSE ALL THE TIME AT HIS HOUSE. HE SAID EVERY NIGHT HE'D HEAR HER RUNNING THE RIVERBOTTOMS AND YOU COULD HEAR HER TREEING. WHEN IT GOT DAYLIGHT SHE'D COME BACK HOME AND HE'D FEED HER AND SHE'D LAY ON THE PORCH TILL IT GOT DARK AND DO THE SAME THING AGAIN.

THEY TALKED FOR A WHILE AND AGREED THAT SHE'D GO BACK HOME WITH QUINCY AND LEE.

A BUDDY OF OURS LOST A REDBONE PUPPY FOR 2 MONTHS BEFORE SOMEONE FOUND HIM AND CALLED.

SO SEE, NEVER GIVE UP HOPE!

Thanks everone... your experiances do give me hope! I have never had a dog missing for this long and am starting to wonder if we will ever see him again, but after reading some posts above... there may still be hope.

I would also like to thank everyone for all their help in either looking on petfined or even calling to offer to look for him. We REALLY do appreciate it!

I will post a picture soon for those of you who do not know what Abe looks like.

Have you hunted in the same place you lost him? I dont know about losing coondogs but we have lost deer dogs and if we run the same place as we lost them they have fallen right back in line and when you catch them there they are(the ones that were missing).

I sure do hate that he sure was a nice looking dog dont give up. Back before there were tracking systems my dad had deer beagles one Named luke. He lost a whole pack on the last day of hunting season he was devastated. Three years later he gota call from a woman and she said that she had one of his dogs, Dad said that he didnt have any missing. Well he went and checked it out and sure enough it was luke with the collar still one him and he only had three legs he went back to house and would still run with the yard dogs. So dont give up there is still a nice chance youll find him. GOOD LUCK!

yea jarrod real sorry to hear about it. but Rusty was gone for a week and he came back so NEVER give up hope. Im sure he'll turn up sometime.
