Tank,
Name two override rules?(number and letter).
A rule either applies or doesn't.

The five minute on tree is an override. You cannot get any tree points after five minutes. However, that can be overidden also if you tree on a different tree. There are, in fact, lots of overrides.

With that said, I must disagree (yeah, I know, it's "official") with Tanks last ruling. Dog A cannot be struck in over because he HAS NOT been trailing while two coon are scored, and can NOT be considered a non-working dog under the rule. Therefore, I would say unless both dogs are cast at once, there will have to be another tree made. That dog was not holding a strike for two coon or one hour, therefore the rule doesn't even apply to him. Only to the dog that wasn't on either tree. However, it's like they say, if the ump says your out, your out...

a challange....hmmm

I will give you one more. I already gave you one earlier. (the non-working dog rule...) As I said, I don't have time for seeing who can pee higher on the wall.

Registered Dogs A, B and C are declared struck. Dog A is declared treed and the 5 has elapsed. As you are are walking to the tree, the hunt time expires. Upon arriving at tree, you find ALL 3 dogs present and treeing, a possum is found in the tree.

Rule 4g states that: Points will be minussed, Dogs treeing, but not declared treed, when Judge arrives, will be minused on tree points on “off” game or slick tree. Points will be determined by next available position in the case of one dog, or split available tree points in the case of two or more dogs. Dogs shut out on strike on slick tree or “off” game will receive minus tree points only.

Rule 5b states: Points will be circled If dogs are trailing when time is out.

BOTH of these rules COULD apply to dogs B & C in the above situation, one "overrides" the other. That rule is 5b. When the hunt time is up, all strike points are circled, therefore they can't be minussed.

Actually I think I can give some rules.

Dogs have to be treed for five minutes is overridden by if all dogs are declared treed you can go to the tree without waiting.

Dogs have to be treed for five minutes is overridden by if time runs out in the hunt you can proceed directly to the tree.

4e says that a dog cannot be struck in over another dog. rule 2a says the first struck dog gets 100 points.

There are plenty more

Todd,
Your first two examples come from rule #17.(don't count)
I don't know what you mean by third example?

Tank's 5b overrides 4g that's good, but were the dogs trailing or treeing when time ran out?
I would have used 4g.

P.S.
Don't want to get in peeing contest.
I have to take a 1/4 Viagra every day, just to keep from peeing on my shoes.
