Christy , just a thought........
Have you went back there and treed a coon with other dogs they know?
Or just took them up there and make them tree for awhile?
That might bring them in.
And , if you get a call about a dog that was seen in the area , take another dog with you.
We lost Hawk for a week and he was spooked. When I seen him and called to him , he started to leave. I told the wife to let Candy out and I made her tree on a fencepost. Hawk turned around and came running in.
Did you put a coat down with food and water next to it? If they come back , it'll keep them there.
Just a few ideas I thought about. Hope they help.

I would of definatly took off a jacket or shirt and laid it down where I turned loose at. I have had my tracking system mess up on me one night lost a 1 1/2 yr female just threw my coat down. The next day I left to go out of state real early so I just told my dad to go by there and see if he could see her well about 8:30 the next mourning he drove up and there she laid sleeping on my coat.

btw good luck finding them it sure does stink to have to worry about them

christy i sure hope you find them but best tip is call every shelter and pound in a 50 mile circle i hope there ok have you heard anything else please let us know have you tryed takein soem other dogs out haveing them tree a coon maybe jr will come into them good luck and dont give up

............hope you find him Christy...........try turnin a dog he knows, like Sid, loose huntin in the area........he might come in.............my greatest fear in a situation like this is the roads gettin him.........best of luck to y'all..........

Wow Christy - I really hate to hear about Jr. ------ Keep your sprits up they will show up. Are there any house's close at all to where he turned loose? I would start check anywhere close that there is a house and check the shelters. People do not hesitate to take them to shelters. We will keep an eye out in our neck of the woods for him at the hunts.

THANK GOD JR HAS BEEN FOUND!!! AND BUDRO TOO!!!

BUT, WE DONT HAVE BUDRO BACK YET. WE KNOW WHERE HE IS, HE JUST WONT COME TO US.

A MAN CALLED YESTERDAY EVENING ABOUT 6PM AND SAID HE CAME HOME FROM WORK AND WENT TO FEED HIS DOGS, YES HE'S A BEAR HUNTER AND HE HAD HOUNDS. AND JR CAME OUT TO HIM.

HE MUST HAVE HEARD ALL THE HOUNDS RAISING CAIN AT FEEDING TIME AND WENT TO THEM.

BUDRO WAS SEEN THERE, BUT COULDNT BE CAUGHT. HE WAS ACTING VERY SKITTISH. THE GUY SAID HE'D SET SOME FEED OUT FOR HIM AND SEE IF HE COULD GET HIM TO COME THAT WAY AND HE'D CALL US IF HE CAUGHT HIM.

THANKS FOR ALL THE THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS, IT'S BEEN A SICKENING 4 DAYS!

Been thinking of you guys and sending prayers. This hounds has been a favorite of mine since I first read about him on here . Hope Budro can be caught VERY quickly. Hope that man gets a special reward in his life. Good deeds come back to us the same way bad ones do. I know which ones I want coming back to me!

i'm glad you got your guy home. & i hope Budro lets himself be caught too.
you guys know how well socialized adonis is, i take him everywhere with me & he sleeps in my bed, but the animal control officer that finally got him, said it took her almost an hour to entice him with some canned food close enough to get her hands on him.
they get so scared, they won't let people help them.
hopefully budro will hang out htere & jason can get his son's buddy back.
i'd love to see a pic of him when he gets home.

glad you got your dog back. but with budro you may want to try this:
about 5yrs ago i had something similar happen. i lost my walker/bluetick cross and she was running with my daughter's mix breed dog. patches came back in but chubby wouldn't. we took patches back to where we saw chubby and tied her. chubby came into patches and we caught her. we later found out that another coonhunter had had my dog all along and she escaped from him and came back. we figured he probably shot at chubby to scare her away.

I am so happy that Budro and Jr were found i was so worried about them I am happy for both dogs and also for the owners i can only imagine what it is like to loose a dog for more then a couple hours i know I lost Under for 7 hours one time and was going frantic
