wipeout clayton

aint been hunting that long but the first dog that really opened my eyes was wipeout clayton.I drew him two nites at the junior superstakes last year(remember he went on to win this hunt). He treed i think 2 or 3 coons each nite right by himself and look good doing it.u could cut him with dogs treeing right byside him and he was gone and under a coon somewhere else.i seee he haas continued his winning ways.

The first coondog that made me WOW!!
ummm
I got to say Mark Griswold's Bluetick male, Thunder, a grandson of Jet V and Mar Mack breeding.. He got it done and with alot of style. Mr. Griswold lost him last winter due to old age. He did get a litter of pups from him. He kept three and I hope all takes after Thunder.
There have been a couple that I have really enjoyed hunting with: WattsFlats Fatty Patty owned by Adam Frary, Eggleston's Hank dog owned by Scott Eggleston, Cassandras Midnight Jenny owned by Mike Reeves, The Bo dog owned by Butch, Rock and Jill owned by Marvin and Jarrod ball, and Jewel owned by Don Myers.. There have been several others but these dogs have place a special stamp on me......

the dog that made me go wow... would have to be my dads bluetick male rock. He is all around a nice hound, naturaly broke, nev has a shock collar on him.... we can cut him lose in a wide open feild and he will head right for the woods and by the time we can walk back to the woods he will have opn struck and already up a tree. Best hound I eve got the chance of going into the woods with...... but there has been some other hounds that come close to ol rock. that i have hunted with.

B&T guys dont get too excited, they were B&T in color but they were out of a blue male and a b&t gyp.........one of her parents was "spotted" (read walker)

After that was a snow white, silent male, out of Dan named Butch. He was a hide treein machine.

LOL Larry... you just described the breeding of an english...

WOW DOG

SMITHURST OKLA SAVAGE STILL IS THE BEST I'VE SEEN. I WATCHED HIM DRAW A TOP WALKER DOG IN A HUNT. THE WALKER HAD A WHOLE BUCH OF SPECTATORS. WHEN THE HUNT WAS OVER THEY ALL BOOKED A BLACK AND TAN PUP. HE COULD TREE COON THAT OTHER DOGS DID NOT KNOW WAS THERE. I WATCHED DOGS COME IN AND CHECK THE TREE WHILE WE WERE SHINING AND LEAVE, THEN YOU WOULD FIND THE COON. HE WAS LEFT IN A METAL DOG BOX IN THE SUMMER AND DIED AT AN EARLY AGE. WHO KNOWS WHAT HE COULD HAVE DONE. EVERYTHING I HAVE GOES BACK TO HIM AND ALWAYS WILL.

actually... the FIRST one that did me like that was a 1/2 b&t - 1/2 bluetick... called him Dan... he would run a deer in daylight, tree a coon at night and never did i know of him running a deer at night... the last night i turned him loose he was 14.. turned him right by himself,, he got struck, ran a good race for an old man... got treed and was deep.. before i got even close to him he shut up.. i never found him..(before i even knew what a tracker was) i think he had a heart attack doing what he loved best...

the first REG. dog i said WOW about was (here goes larrypoe) a little blue english gyp.. she was g/daughter of blue boyII... name was GrCh, GrNtCh Johnson's Alabama Belle... she died just before turning 5 with kidney failure.. (thanks Ole Roy) she could win in ANYBODYS company and anybodys woods..

CARNLEY'S DOTTIE-LOU

Made you say Wow, everytime out! Not because I owned her are raised her, she was one of a kind, could get it done lay-ups, hot tracks, cold tracks, any where, anytime, with anything at six months old on. I could count on One hand the mistakes the dog made, up until she was stolen at 2yrs old.
Tar Heel Henery, looked good to me also one night, when I hunted with him and Lee.

OLD BLUE

A big bluetick male my Dad, three brothers, and I had in the late 70's. Man when he hit a tree he was loud and would stay until daylight, but he was one digging fool. The best kill dog I've ever seen, bone crusher Blue.

Wish I had a picture of him.
