I am outraged!

but at least glad to hear that you have a couple of leads for the investigators. Its just about impossible to imagine that in that crowded place, no one saw or heard anything. Even sorrier that no witness did or said anything on the spot. Had I witnessed the assault, you know I would have created a HUGE ruckus.
There were thousands of dogs tied out at Autumn Oaks. Most of us routinely tie out our dogs at events with no direct supervision. If we can't trust our competitors to treat our dogs with respect, we can't compete. This person should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
I hope UKC is backing you up and doing whatever you need to help find the culprit and that he/she will be banned from the grounds at ALL future organized events. Please keep us updated. And pet up Tammy for us.

The unfortunate truth is that this sport chews up and spits out more folks every year than we have coming in. I'm sure everyone currently involved in the sport at some point has thought about hanging up the gear and calling it quits. Sometimes it just burn out but so many times it is the ruthlessness and jealously of fellow houndsmen that cause us personal frustration and disgust. This is a great sport full of passionate people who will go out of they're way to help anyone out. Lots of lifetime friendships are formed thru this sport and that is what I enjoy the most. But even sometimes your "friends" try to knock you down when you're rising to the top.

Best of luck with Tammy. She is a beautiful hound. I got a good look at her at the Heartland Classic. I hope everything pans out for the good and you can punish the indviduals responsible.

Just read this Steve. Sorry to hear about Tammy. It is a sad statement of the decline of our sport when someone would stoop to hurt an animal for something as meaningless as a trophy. Makes you worry about leaving your animals alone to even take a bathroom break. I have never worried about this before, but it certainly will be in the back of my mind from now on.

I hope Tammy makes a complete recovery. Best Wishes.

Thanks Steve. We enjoyed Tammy for the overnighter. She is the sweetiest dog. She just makes herself at home and just blends in. Again thank you for trusting us with her she is a very beautiful dog body wise but personality out of this world. Who would think I would actually like a walker as well as Shadow LOL LOL . Be glad when whom ever did this is caught and punished.

Tricia if ya read this give Tammy a kiss on the head for me and Alexa and a pat for Nolan

We didn't know anything had taken place until right before leaving on Saturday evening, but all things put aside, this is a terrible and downright disgusting thing to do to an innocent animal. She didn't do anything wrong, and didn't deserve to be injured, whether she was to be competition or not. I hope you find out who did this, and punish them to the possible fullest extent. There was no point in that whatsoever, and whoever did it must be one sad sad person.

things like this is the reason why i tend to shy away from competition hunting. I know if someone injured one of my dogs there would be hell to pay. my hounds & curs are like my kids. and you dont mess with either!!! This shows the character that people in todays society have. Its a rotten low down thing to do to any animal!
