there are a few....

dual gr ch capital city go annie owned by dave westbrook. won the world...went on and placed in shows and hunts across the country. including the ukc world for her breed, several times. as well as winter classic.

dual gr ch parker's reverend red...won the winter classic, gr part, and placed as high scoring redbone. he also placed in the ukc world hunt and won in the show, on more than one occasion.

winning the hunt and show? don't care who you are...that is tough!

it was never, ever done at ol acha either. and no one seemed concerned. nor has it been done at akc or pkc.

but lee currens did win the nkc world and the nkc hunt, same year, with dual gr ch kentucky river rowdy.

interesting when reading some of the hunt dog's pedigrees, what show dogs some of them reproduce as well. i know of one bluetick fella that sold some folks a pup. told me he was "sorry...as they didn't hunt the pup". a few years later...this same pup wins a world show title. heck! he couldn't get it in the magazine fast enough!!! i've noticed that on more than a few times...LOL!!

continued success to those that compete...hunt, show and both...

and another note some of these world show chs have finished into dual gr ch as well. examples are little hawk, abe..and for blueticks...dave mccormicks steele blue fly...won best opposite at ukc world and went on to make nite ch. you also have those "showdogs" that have placed at their breed events. recently...the "patsy" female brian lucas is breeding...she won the hunt AND the show. dual gr ch northern blue levi...won his breed at autumn oaks and went on and won at canadian international, in the show. he also placed in the hunts quite well.....so yes...some can and do....russ downing did this a few times as well...showed and hunted his blues and won.

just a lil insight.... "lipper" won at treeing walker days in the "show"...LOL! and he reproduced some of those show dogs as well....ol gold creek mundo...same thing. do a lil background research be amazed at what has been forgotten or buried in time...

sorry H. L. Meyers..won over all world show back in 1996. then a few years ago..won not only again but placed his black and tan in the hunt of ukc world! it was a brother to his previous winner...gr ch meyers patent pending. this good hound just recently passed away.
