not really
i think breeding has something to do with it but not all of it i think training and instinct has alot to do with it and breeding i think dosent always put the instinct in the dog look at all the top stud dogs in history they all had hundreds of pups and out of those hundreds of pups how many made it as well as there father not many compared to all the pups as a hole lets say a male had 800 pups on the ground over ten years and lets just say 50 made nitech or better people would say hes reproducing but even at fifty thats a low presentage there were still 750 that were good for nothing. i feel you have the same chances getting a good dog from so so parents and bloodlines than you do from flashy well known ones it just depends on the dog its self and its owner and that consists of forming trust and getting the dog out there hunting. do you guys think jet 8 came the two best coon dogs in the world probly not danny saw something in him and gets him out there to do it and thats what it comes down to. i'm not saying every dog is going to be a superstar but i do think alot of dogs are givin up on entirely to early. look at other breeds of dogs i have a black lab came from to farmdogs that really dont do anything it took me almost four years to get her going on phesants and now i'd put her against any dog in the field now tell me was that breeding
