You asked about dislikes and I forgot to mention this. When I first hunted with him, he liked to run fast game but, they got him straightened out on that pretty quick.

Shawn,

I breed my Whitey daughter to Card. I'll wager that if she has ANY influence at all...they won't be a whole lot of choppin goin on anywhere....

Both Card and her are big boned, stocky built hounds....the pups should be made the same way. (at least I hope so)
He has proven (to me at least) to be loud, and she is in typical Whitey x Lipper fashion to be loud also...one would hope the pups are too. Well, genetically they should be blessed with the ability to be loud......

Fact is it all goes back to the fact that these are all young studs with few pups to go by. I have heard some very good things about pups out of several of these hounds...Card is close, and all of the people assoicated with Card have treated me very well.....his breeding and hunting style should compliment my female.....that is the best that any of us can hope for.

I agree Oak Ridge. Is your Whitey female titled? I might be interested in one.

Shawn,

She has never been in a hunt.....not that she should not be, she is just down the list for me as a priority to finish out. I have a male that I have one win on, a female that I have three wins on, and a pup that I am ready to start campaining....too many dogs, not enough time.....

I would make you a deal on one if you are really interested.....not in the breeding end to get rich, just to get a pup for me.

PS Card is SS, and is enrolled in the performance program if that means anything to you.

i hunted with night train one night and he looked super.treed three coons as well as one can.looked really good from track to tree.pretty nice mouth not super big but good enuff.seemed like he could tree any kind of coon.and one thing i seen that night was when he treed there was a coon.and i have to say he is one of the best looking dogs ive ever seen.super good looking.and john day is one of the best to deal with..just my thoughts which are based on one hunt.but from what i hear from others this is pretty much it.

i dont see what the deal is with the female being titled becouse every one does not hunt nught hunt with there dog but that does not mean it is not a good dog some people have had bad experiacne with night hunts and dont care about them but if you have a proven croos that has made some good pups that is what should matter not the papers becouse the papers do not do the hunting for you the dog does

i like what triple threat is throwing. we kept two from the 1st female. 1 male and 1 female. they are 4months old. the female has started on SQ. they are not shy and look like a hound should look. good feet with a nice head. we are also saving two males from one of our females bred to him. we will see what they will do at the ss in the near future. threat has about 40 pups now. 4 months being the oldest

I will have to say Rock River Blister. Don't have anything directly out of him, but I have a male dog here that is out of Blister's full sister. I've heard lots of good stuff about Blister pups. I wouldn't be afraid to try Cutter either.

Everybody is overlooking the Blister dog, he the real deal in the woods or the stud pen.

I have raised 2 pups out of him both are making nice dogs! One thing you don't have to worry about with Blister pups is they always have big mouths and they always go hunting.
