This product does work and works well. This is all I use after they took Spoton off the market. Here's a link that will show you that others use this product with good results.
http://espomagazine.com/board/viewt...highlight=bayer
When Mr. Scott says it works then you can count on it!For those that want something else, use 20 Mule team borax.Spread throughly in the pens and lightly spray with a mist of water to keep it from blowing away. You will see good results with that also. Can be picked up at most any Grocery store in the laundry section.

No mixing with water for putting on dogs to kill fleas. Use it full strength and put 7.5 ml on a 25lb dog and 15ml on a 50- 70lb dog...........it kills the mess out of fleas....good luck....FullCry

I used it last Sunday

and already most of the scratching has stopped. It's sure easy to apply. I Put it on as a stripe on my hounds and rubbed it on the belly of my Rat Terrier.

fleas

I'm no math or chemist expert but if the bottle says its 1.47% it shouldn't make any difference if you use 1 ml or the whole bottle it's still 1.47% of the volume. In order to increase the percentage of active ingredient you would have to reduce the amount of inert ingredients.

I'm guessing the smaller amount applied provides a smaller amount to be absorbed into the animals blood stream. Smaller dog, less blood in the blood stream, less in the application. Big dog, more blood, more in the application. Watering it down for a kennel dip doesn't sound like a bad idea. Then the 1.47% theory would probably make a difference.

Do you think it would be safe too use on puppies 6 weeks and older? If so how much would you use? And im guessing we are using this straight and not diluting it ...
I got some and just sprayed all my kennels and surrounding ground with it and noticed a big difference. But want too be certain on the dog /puppy appliction..

Thank you for your help...

The dogs I treated are doing great. Can't find any fleas on the dogs we treated. Going to treat the rest and share this with everyone. Saves me lots of money too. Thanks again for sharing.

I bought me a bottle of it the other day and put it on my dogs and then checked them yesterday and couldn't find a flea . Hopefully this is the ticket to the problem , and someone don't find out and pull it from the shelf .

Yeah it's great...i have been flea free for over a year now and never have seen anything work like this stuff does in my thirty five years of having hounds. To the ones that doubt using it that it may not work or may hurt their hounds.....suffer then lol.

Talked to my vet today and told him Ive been using it now for three weeks and NO fleas. He said he would research it tonight and call me but said it should be safe. Thanks FULLCRY! This is probably the best tip on here so far.

Hey Chris when you talk to your vet ask if its okay for young dogs. I have yet to put it on anything under 8 months old. Would appreciate your vets comments. thanks

None yet....

My son put the stuff on two four week old pups and their mother and they are eight weeks old now and no deformaties, rashes, breathing difficulties, etc. This is a friend of ours dog and pups and he really didn't have any choice but to use it for the fleas were so bad.
Also the vet may be checking into trying to get the stuff off the market so we can't have a cheap flea killer that really works and we're getting into the vets pocket by using it....same as Admire.....

I used it a couple of days ago and NO FLEAS! I think it works very well. I took my female to the vet today and she's bred so I asked if it was ok to use some Advantage on her he said sure it was a really good thing to use while she is pregnant and even after. I didnt ask if this was ok I dont want it pulled off the market. But you would think if its the same it would be OK.
THANKS FULLCRY FOR THE TIP IT VERY HELPFUL FOR ALL THAT HAVE USED IT!

i have been at wits end fighting fleas
ive tried everything this is the worse ive ever seen for fleas here
poor little pups are eat up and all the older dogs
if you spray biospot or whatever the fleas boil up around the pups heads by the hundreds
i believe they are making them anemic or somthing
i am going to lowes tomarrow and buying them out of this stuff
i have 15 dogs here and they are all getting a dose
thankyou very very much for this advice
you are a hero Fullcry

I did put it on a couple pregnant females 1 week before they were due and no problems but do have some 4 wk old black n tans that need it or at least their mother does.

I haven't had the chance to ask my vet yet but if its safe, he will reccommend it to all his clients. Can't beleive your vet cares more about money then the poor dogs suffering.

The Vets are so busy they do know about advantage but most probably don't even know about this bayer chemical yet. It probably really won't hurt their pocket to bad because the average pet owner only has one or two dogs and it's not that expensvie to keep them on frontline or advantix or advantage.
Folks, I am so glad to be able to share this with you all.... I have despised a flea since i can remember for i have had infestations that lasted months and fought the scum, sprayed every day and my poor hounds were going mad and me to. I could walk in the yard and in ten seconds my legs would be covered with them vermin. Not anymore....again i haven't had a flea in a year and a half and i have ten dogs here. Ten dogs with a dose of bayer once a month= ten flea killing machines..... the more dogs you have with the stuff on them the quicker them %*&$!*^$ dissappear...... FullCry

I used it yesterday on all our dogs ages 8 weeks to 10 years. Happy to report this morning the dogs are fine and the fleas are gone!

as for the vets 'getting it pulled' i dont' see how they can, it's for shrubs and they cant control off-label use, otherwise they'd be getting ivomec cattle injectable and zimectrin gold for horses pulled so we won't have a cheaper alternative to heartworm preventative pills.
