Steve & I hunted Maggie, Bonnie and a couple young ones. Bonnie went in 350 yds and blew up treed with a coon, the others covered. We sent on, Bonnie blew up treed around 225 yds with #2. Next drop Bonnie got treed at 550 yds, Maggie covered. Big hedge with plenty of exit limbs. Slick with coon 20 yds up a big oak. Next drop Maggie & Bonnie trees right together with a big boar around 600 yds. Maggie falls treed at 215 yds with a coon. Next drop they go in 425 yds and get treed on a slick oak. We send on, nothing happens. We move where Maggie goes a half mile and trees on a big oak, no coon found. Bonnie gets treed on a maple den tree on the next drop. Last drop Bonnie goes 50 yds and trees on a big oak. Lots of leaves still but no coon found. Old timers call them slick trees. Send on, they strike at 300 yds, run a good track a short distance and tree. They had 3 coon in that tree. The gyps look good most of the time but Luke hasn't missed having a coon for several nights and that will spoil a fella.
