Shawnfitzgerald since I don't have a 220 with me today and my memory on just which button to push is shot, we can do one of two things. You can just do a master reset which will erase any save data if you have some. Or tomorrow at the store I can get one and tell you how to bring that back up.

Mr. Allen I am not sure what got turned on for you to see the icon your seeing. If you could snap a picture of it and post on here or text me the picture maybe I could figure it out as I am not really sure if I have ever seen what your talking about.

Two things you could do to fix the issue but then you would know what it was. Go to map first and then some other menu areas and the last thing on the list is restore defaults. Select that and it will take it back to factory settings.

Second thing would be to do a master reset and that should clear everything and take it back to factory settings. It will also clear out dogs and other saved things. Just don't know how much you have save on your alpha.

Shanes, I left a message. Call when you can.

Alpha collars

I just updated my Alpha system to the 4.30 version and added a T-5 collar to my system. After I did this I tried to read this collar and my 3 TT-10 collars and handheld will not pick up any collars. Should I try to reupdate my handheld?

First thing is I would remove the collars and add one back and see what it does. Something obviously went wrong but without having seen what happened the best bet is to just start over. You can go too your ABOUT page and see what version software you have to see if the update took.

Last night my hounds were almost a mile away when they started going in and out of contact. They got treed, and were still just in and out, in and out.

When I walked to them, they weren't in a hole, or anything that should have kept interrupting the signal that rapidly.

I have an Alpha 100 and all its updates are current.

What might the problem be?

I wouldn't necessarily say there was a problem. Most nights my ALPHA will track over a mile with no problems. There are times when a mile seems to be the limit.

Sometimes when this is happening moving just a few yards one direction or another will work better for you.

Do the 320 and 220 get better distance?

Master reset is while the unit is off hold the menu and enter button down and turn it on while holding the other two buttons down. It will start up asking if you want to erase all data. Just say yes.

Go is right on what he said also.

Select
menu/menu
ADVANCED
SETTINGS
MAIN MENU
At the bottom of the list select
INCLUDE ALL and you will back to normal.

Mr. Carroll, I find that my ALPHA performs better than my 320. Not by a lot of distance but generally a few hundred yards further.

DC50 Collar

Bruce,
Did I read right that the DC50 is being discontinued? I hope I read that wrong.

My buddy has a 320 that shows a "Invalid JNX file" message when you turn it on.

What is the problem, how serious is it, and what do we need to do about it?

Generally it means a map file (birdseye) did not load completely. Sometimes hard to fine the file to fix. I have in on one of my ALPHAs and I just click ok and keep on going.
Small aggravation when you first turn it on but I have learned to live with it.
