I'm just laying around the house and going to a few basketball games. My hunting will be done till the Dr. can line me out and find out all what is going on. I feel like I have whip lash 24 hours a day. Very hard to sleep and no pain meds. SUCKS.

Due to some health issues I have not hunted. Last night I said the hell with it and went by myself. I cut loose and sat on the back of the tailgate. Dragon struck in at 500 yards and worked around. He come treed but it didn't sound right at all. He was bawling not chopping so I sat in the truck and stayed warm. He later moved back to about 325 yards and come treed right. Well I found out why. The place I turned him into was nothing but ice water and he was having trouble walking on the ice and breaking through. Needless to say I had a hell of a time getting to him and the water was about 2 foot deep in spots and breaking through the thin ice without falling in the water. By the time I got to him I was worn out. He had a coon up so high the shot gun was of no effect. I just petted him up and we broke ice all the way back and I was done. I will not hunt that spot again the rest of the winter. I think I'm done hunting till all the health issues are cleared up.

I'm keeping my dogs. I will get through this. If I decide down the road to sell them they in no shape or form will be cheap. I'm just done this season. I hope to be competition hunting this Spring. I will be up and ready once I get through all this. Heck I'm only 51 and still got plenty energy.

He just sits in the pen looking for me to take him hunting. I won't be going anywhere still my surgery is done and a fully back on my feet. It might be awhile.
Magic is 10 and getting hunted at this point.
Maggie has not came in heat so who knows when she will be in.

As you know this is out of my hands. If God is will I will be back hunting and dancing. Things I love. I'm not looking forward to the surgery but I know it is much need and no choice in the matter. I trust my life in God's hands and I will hunt again.
Going now is tough. It's just way to uncomfortable for me to be trying to look up trees and following dogs.
I just sit at home and might try to go has a truck man to get out of the house once in a while.
Basketball is my only enjoyment at this point. Dragon, Maggie are getting fat. I think they can still tree a few coon.
