she didnt hunt worth a $%#@...i had to follow her around with a switch..cut my.light out walked in to her and got after her ass...went 100 had to do it again and again..she got down on the river and was WALKING up and down the bank for 25 min till i finally had enough og that and got to her..got on her ass again...cut her loose she went about 150 and started standing around...i was smokin hot jug dog treed on a good tree and she was jus stading around...im done with that sh#&!!!

YEA STEVEN LAST NIGHT DID SUCK BUT WHEN I TOOK YOU HOME I MADE A DROP IN TENNESSEE AND BANDIT GOT STRUCK AND FELL TREE JUST 3 TREES SHORT,I LOOKED OVER IN THE THIRD TREE AND THERE SAT OL MR COON OR MRS I DONT KNOW.LOL THEN I MADE HIM GO ON WITH THE TRACK AND HE HIT A TRACK AND TOOK IT TO THE HIGHWAY AND I HAD TO GO GET HIM OFF THE GAURDRAIL. SO I GOT TO THINKING THAT MAYBE THAT TRACK WAS THE BORE AND THE ONE I SAW WAS THE FEMALE SO I WENT BACK DOWN TO THE AREA WERE I SAW THAT COON AND CUT HIM AGAIN AND HE STRUCK AND PUT THAT ONE IN RIVER BANK! BUT I HAD FUN WITH IT ALL....LOL MAYBE NEXT TIME

Sounds like he done a good job...as u know we wasnt suposef to b huntin in there..its only open 29days a yr...and thats at 1st of season...thry need a better gate if they gona keep me outa there..lol..that spot is cream of the crop for here....hard to stay outa there..im wondering if monk treed any in there after we left..i caught him sneakn in my spot...not alota people know its even there ...lol...im telling u i was about to stroke out wen i got home...thers no sense in that sh#&...just another bad hunt..but im gona put a stop to that b4 i start thinking its normal...yea its tuff..but i know of people that are treeing them coons...hell the pup i gave away to monk is treeing coons..im just at stroke level with the nonsense

I THANK THAT LITTLE DOG YOU GOT IS A COON HOUND BUT I DONT THANK SHE IS A BLOW THROUGH THE COUNTRY KINDA DOG. The kind that get under the meat...this time of yr dogs will ger alil deeper...i guess the perfect hunter would be 1/2 mile circle for me...that kit bitch hunted deep most of the time...usually around 1/2 mile most times..but ive seen hwr at 2.3 mile under the meat...in arkansas...wT a walk through a swamp...never forget that one...lol...we better stop complaining b4 rod rins outa room on his post..lol...

JUST TAKE A DEEP BREATH BOYS ITS GOING TO BE FINE LOL , I'M THE WORLDS WORST ABOUT GETTING EXCITED AND JUMPING THE GUN AND I DO MEAN JUMPING THE GUN LOL BUT SOMETIMES THE GRASS ISN'T ANY GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE , I EXPECT ALOT IN A HOUND ALSO ESPECIALLY AFTER YOU HAVE OWNED THAT SPECIAL HOUND , ITS EASY TO GET COUGHT UP IN THE BLAME GAME AND IT MAKES IT RUFF ON THESE OTHER HOUNDS BUT SOMETIMES I DON'T HAVE ANYONE TO BLAME BUT MYSELF BECAUSE I KNOW THAT THERE IS NOT ONE HOUND A LIKE THEY ARE ALL DIFFERENT AND IT IS UP TO US TO BE SMARTER THAN THE DOG AND FIND WHAT MAKES THEM CLICK AND SOMETIMES AFTER TAKING A STEP BACK AND REALLY ASKING MYSELF HAVE I REALLY DONE MY PART AND GET RID OF THE BLAME GAME SOMETIME IT IS NO MORE THAN JUST A SIMPLE FIX AND WHEN YOU GET ON THE SAME PAGE WITH EACH OTHER WHAT A RELIEF THEN IT MAKES IT ALL WORTH WHILE. THATS WHEN COONHUNTING IS FUN IT NOT ONE NIGHT OF JUST TREEING COONS,. IT THE BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS THATS BEEN PUT IN TO IT AND WATCHING IT PAY OFF. ive been hunting hard for 2 weeks you have been with me on a few of them hunts yourself...its frustrating wen you hunt that hard and come up with one coon...ive racked my brain lost sleep cussed and thought about it...out of that many nights of hunting I feel like I should have had atleast 1 good night were I treed 2 or 3 coon,,,what gets me is some of those nights was in the mid 40s cloudy, seen possoms deer skunks moving around so the game was moving but stil didn't come up with anything...8 or 10 nights and got 1 coon.. im fixin to make some big changes in my kennel..im looking for a hound that can get it done and is pretty accurate and most important consistent night after night..and like we talked before we got to take the lines and traits we like and get that pup or young dog and raise and train them ourselves..which you have been there before and worked good..ive got a pup I really like and that's what im hunting from now own...im ready to bare down on these young dogs and my mind is set and motivated so lets get after them..im ready..

everybody is entitled to vent from time to time..that being said it was brought to my attention that something I have said has upset a dear friend and mentor to me one of my closest friends personally...I made the comment to jug in the truck and then posted it on here as a joke that monk was sneaking into my spot...I never meant that in a negative way at all as I respect the man that he has been hunting them spots for yrs b4 I was even born..i guess someone took it out of context and relayed that I had posted such comment..in no way did I mean he was going behind me or doing anything on purpose it is all public land and anybody with a license and map can hunt in there...when I heard of this it hurt me to think that he was upset with me over such bc anybody that know me knows that I would never make a bad comment about monk as I respect the man bc he is the hardest hunter that I know and a dear friend to me..so I do apologize for any confusion on anybodys part...thanks steven

Rodney for posting that on here ridge hates a coon worse then any other dog I have ever had,you have to pry his jaws off of it when he gets ahold of it. in my opinion that is what you have to have to have a real coondog because when you turn him loose all he thinks about is the coon and how much he wants it in his mouth! lol

took my big red male cy this evening with hanna and if we had been in a hunt he would have won between the two dogs he stayed out over 45 minutes working by himself .give me and him another two months and look out.

next time we go remind me to show you the video of scooter treed...im not gona blow him up bc he is young I think 7.5 months old...but I haven't seen a pup ever tree harder than he did tonight on all three drags... I put the stopwatch on him bc I couldn't believe he would be over 100..i clocked him at 126 bpm and he is loud!!!.. but I cant send the video for some reason
