Kaiser's Blue Otis 7 mo. old

Oppy x Laya
I started back hunting after being out for about 25 years. I decided to start with a pup after losing my old dog to bloat and picked up this pup from George and Lesli Adkins. Layed a couple of drags for him and he treed on them both.He has treed 3 squirrels this past week.Loud for a pup, trees with his feet up. Minds like a house pet.Kennel quiet and in the box. He doesn't like working on the bench, but I LIKE HIM!

Perry I should have named that dog stickem, or tree sap cause she don't need no leash unless it's a den tree and it's time to go to the truck. She will put some hooks in the tree. I really like that about her. I only went for a few hours last night and had to work in the morning, really wanted to put a coon down, but wasn't gonna happen. Just a real good handling dog. I turned out the old dog and her.......she hunts in circles and zigzags....she didn't follow him, she did her own thing, but they still treed on the same den tree...........matter of fact there were alot of dens in that swamp. I rode over to the Winter Classic Saturday and seen Jimmy and Clay and few other old farts I know. I rode over in my buddy's Jeep..............176 miles one way of huh?, what did you say?............the ride wasn't bad, just too noisy for me.

PRETTY NICE HUNTIN

TREED 5 BOARS WITH 4 DIFFERENT DOGS AND SAW COONS ON THE ROAD ALL THE WAY HOME FROM THE LAST DROP. ONE AWESOME WINTER IF YOU LIKE TO COON HUNT. SHOULD BE A GOOD CROP OF KITS THIS YEAR, THE WAY COONS ARE MOVIN THEY'LL ALL GET BRED. VERY LITTLE STRESS ON THEM WITH OPEN WATER AND FEED THEY CAN GET TO. TONITE WILL BE JUST AS GOOD, THAT MOON PLAYS NO PART THIS TIME OF YEAR ESPECIALLY IN THIS KIND OF WEATHER. <v>

Took Laya and our male pup Crush who is 7 mo now out of Oppy. He made his first 2 trees last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The first was a den he made with Laya. The second tree he struck and treed all by himself with coon on the outside. Laya showed up shortly after due to she had a run in with coyotes. We are so proud and excited! We have put in a lot of woods time with these pups. Tonite we'll take both pups. We have our female Dash to get runnin too.

pups

GEORGE AND LESLIE HAVE 2 THAT ARE 7 MONTHS OLD. I DON'T KNOW IF THEY WANT TO PART WITH ONE OR NOT. HAVEN'T GOT ANYTHING BRED. OPPY WILL BE 12 MAY 2OTH OF THIS YEAR. I DON'T KNOW THAT HE WILL SIRE ANY MORE PUPS. I DON'T HAVE ANY FEMALES AND I DIDN'T PERFORMANCE HIM THIS YEAR. HE IS HEALTHY AND TREED A COON WITH HIM LAST NITE SO IF ANYONE IS INCLINED TO USE HIM, THEY ARE WELCOME TO. <v>

Thanks for sending me phone pics of the Tuff/Sticker pups from time to time. You should post them on here!

I got a call from one of the fellas who got the male I called "Rio". He now calls him "MOJO". He's in love with his pup. Says he is house trained, eager to please and as smart as can be. He takes Mojo for regular outings around the countryside in the early mornings and predicts that you will be hearing about this young blue dog in the hunts someday. He's up around the WI Dells, I believe.

2-1-12 BRIGHT AND COLD

TOOK OPPY AND JET FOR A DROP, THEY WENT OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS OFF THE LEASH. OPPY STRUCK AT 775 YDS UP ON A BIG RIDGE, WENT ANOTHER 650 AND WAS TREED. CHECKED THE GARMIN AND JET WAS DOWN ON A GOOD CREEK WORKIN BUT HADN'T SAID ANYTHING YET. GOT TO THE OLD DOG AND SHOT HIS COON, GOT IT SKINNED AND HEADED DOWN OUTA THERE. JET HAD OPENED A COUPLE TIMES ON THE CREEK AND WAS A HALF MILE FROM ME. I HEAR HIM CATCH THE COON, THEN RUNNIN , THEN CATCH HIM AGAIN. ONE MORE RUN OF ABOUT 50 YARDS AND TREED. HE WAS STRIPPIN A GEAR. WHERE HE WAS AT I DIDN'T THINK THERE WAS ANY TREES AND COULDN'T SEE ANY IN THE SKY LINE. AS I GET DOWN TO THE CREEK IT IS A HIGH BANK ON ONE SIDE AND HE IS DOWN ACROSS ON THE OTHER SIDE. THIS IS WHAT I SAW WHEN I CAME OVER THE BANK.

HE HAD BEEN BIT THROUGH ONE FOOT AND A LEG BLEEDIN ON THE OTHER SIDE AND A STEADY DRIP RUNNIN OFF THE END OF BOTH EARS .THE YOUNG DOGS HAVE CAUGHT A COUPLE OF THESE OLE BOARS THE LAST 2 NITES AND HAVE PAYED THE PRICE OF SERIOUS BLOOD LETTINS. TOOK THE OLD DOG HOME AND GRABBED TUFF. TURNED HIM AND JET, THEY WENT .9 MILES AND JUST BLEW UP TREED ON A DEN WITH THE COON LOOKIN OUT. SQUALLED AND HE CAME RIGHT OUTAND RAN INTO A 22. BULLET. I DON'T HUNT DOGS TOGETHER MUCH, SO IT WAS KINDA A FUN CHANGE OF PACE. HOPE THEY LET UM GET UP A TREE TONITE, THEY ARE PRETTY TORE UP. <v>
