my young stinger hounds are looking good.

I took my new male I call Barney.he took a old track out and treed it in the next section through a soy bean field and had the coon.he is acting better every time I hunt him.
my female out of stinger and fly ALL I CAN SAY WOW! she did her first split tree tonight had the coon she split about 40 yards from Tree Daddy.Stinger no doubt is throwing some awesome hounds,I`m seeing alot of independence in his offspring.I should have something ready to put in the hunts this fall off of stinger.

stinger pups

Hi Matt, your stinger pups sure look nice! Ruby looks real good, she has a good set of running gear on her!

My stinger pups are doing well, the male out of fly is getting better each time out, he struck a bear from the rig the other day, him and diamond put on a good race, bayed up a few times, diamond got banged up alittle but is doing good now.

My diamond male is going with the old dog on coon, he's starting to progress also. It sure is nice to have young hounds that almost start themselves, all I do is put them in the woods! Hope all is well, Mike

THANKS MIKE,

I `m glad they are working for you.I`m getting good reports on the fly x stinger cross.they have great noses on them.my female starts barking when I`m going down the road when she smells coon.I`ve seen coon cross in front of me then she starts barking.I think they could make great start dogs.ellis blue jim could do it the same way.
I hope Diamond didn`t get to tore up for you.
went and got Stinger collected today,i`ve been wanting to do this for two years and now i`ll fill more at ease when I turn him loose.
going back for another collection soon.do you have any new pictures ? Tell Amanda and the boys I said hi.how is your Louy and stinger female doing?
I really like the female i kept.thanks for keeping me updated.

Matt I sent you a pm. But Boomer seems to be getting very interested in coon scent! Treed his first coon lastnite and was hunting alone. For the very few times out this summer he's coming along quick!

Bryan,

I think Mike is right just take them hunting and they have it in them to strike and tree.every cross out of stinger had and is producing natural ability in them.
stinger has bred some nice females none have had a title so this should say something about his reproducing ability, not taking any thing from the females,just none with a title.
I like the cross with Annie and I think with a kill seasons on your Boomer,Upson`s Annie, Powder, Diamond we will have a good cross.
I would like to think Stinger and Tree Daddy will have a positive impact on the breed its hard to suit everybody,so time will tell if were barking up the wrong tree or not.
hang in their with boomer and I`m sure it won`t be long you`ll be buying a new pair of boots.

Yeah if the dogs have it between there ears, they should make some sort of hound.
I know last winter Boomer was looking up and that was at 7 months.

They all need woods time and lots of it.

pups

hi matt we had some good pup training again yesterday. it was a slow day over all though. had a rain storm just before we left home then another later in the morning, not much was moving. i did tree a coon. the pups all looked good on it. one thing is for sure you don't have to train them all you have to do is put them in the woods, the rest is bred in. annie went for the first time since coming into heat, she did good. she is doing a good job rigging bear off the truck. i'm looking forward to hunting with mike again in a week or so. have a good day dennis

Dennis,

I`ve been seeing the same thing.A good kill season over them will be good.my powder female is out of heat to it looks like annie and her are going to be coming in the same time.my litter mate to your skipper female sure is growing,I`m hoping to get up and hunt with you and your females,I think they would cross good on Little Blue.

pups

hi matt it's been perfect here 70's in the day time 40- 50 at night. not very good corn growing weather though. i'm hoping to run a couple of times again this week. work kinda slows hunting though. i'm looking forward to crossing blue on these females. i also plan on using mike s. smokey dog that is out of katie(littermate to blue) and toby. he's a nice young hound. there is a picture of him on the bluetick pro board. copper is due to have pups from him next week. i'm hoping to get a couple of all blue females from this cross. talked to dave the other day sounds like his pups from bawler and dixie (littermate to copper) are looking nice. he is real proud of his pups out of stinger. dennis

Most of the time I`m talking hounds,Dennis I`m sure Blue will cross real good on these females.I bet your liking the low heat for running your hounds.you have some good crosses coming should work out for you.
Bryan,the best time is early in the morning here to get me.last night my young grandson spent the night and was up as soon as I walked in.3:30 he went to sleep and 8:15 up again.hes just a little to young to start hunting yet.keep up the good work with Boomer.sounds like time in the timber will show.l

CHRIS AND JEREMY

I like the cross with Slick and Sis this should work and another nick on bringing back the EBJ X APRIL cross.this cross will work good on on the Droop line of hounds.is this litter going to be performance pups ?

I thought about a name for him and I thought you would like his name.after all you had him for a year and half.I`m liking him and he`s been looking good for me and has been hunted by himself since he`s been here.I `m wanting to hunt him with legend one night to see what type of hound he is.
I would not have bred three litters at the same time but the response on Tree Daddy pups have been overwhelming for me.Tree Daddy isnt a young one any more and I`ve kept him on the back burner for pushing Stinger and Stinger is throwing some good hounds.Stinger has 71 pups on the ground and tree Daddy has 16 on the ground in two litters.
THANKS GUYS FOR PUSHING YOUR HOUNDS OUT OF STINGER AND TREE DADDY .FOR THEY BOTH HAVE BEEN ONCE IN A LIFETIME TYPE HOUNDS FOR ME.JUST TRYING TO KEEP IT GOING .

GOOD HEARING FROM YA!

Thanks for calling and talking hounds guys.I posted the crosses if my females caught you know where some pups are and how they are bred and crossed up.this line of hounds have been good here in Ohio and start with ease some make it and some don`t .I `ll be at AUTUMN OAKS give me a call or pm me and I would love to meet ya and talk hounds .I don`t have any young pups for sale at this time but i`m hoping around Thanksgiving I`ll have some.
