Mr Linkous, "picked up" ????? Just what does that mean, bought, borrowed, professionel handler now??? We all know that you are just trying to get in good with those Redbone guys and why. The earth will really shake in about 62 more days. You had better make sure that you have some earthquake insurance. I hope that you have some awfully thick skin! Spring is on hold for another week down here in Tennessee. I think that this is dogwood winter, but I will have to ask Mr Bond.

SWEET TEA!

OK, I'lll get to the serious stuff in a minute BUT... Bob was SO EXCITED yesterday that I get on this thread... lol.. we went INTO a MacDonalds for the first time in yrs coming back from vet hosp.(will get to that shortly).. LO AND BEHOLD a BIG old Vat of SWEET TEA! We had out first(that I recall) Sweet tea! It was rather YUMMY...even for mcdonalds. Tasted like very good chinese restaurant tea but sweet. the flavor was not like any other tea and it was NOT at ALL like our northern "Iced tea"... which I now realise taste like carp... lol

OK, keep sending prayers for Web who is AT tufts and was over night. He had 10 or more episodes in a half hour with teh neurologist.... It is NOT normal seizures. So far they have tested for "liver shunt"... which is a messed up blood vessel and an easier "fix"...but we got word this am it is not that. He is being observed, video taped etc. They determined he is NOT normal...LOL... Told Ya! He was "way to calm for a dog" in a stressful situation. He is being cared for by the head neuro dude(AWESOME GUY!) and a bazillion wonderful vet students...who will all be in love with him by now. Bob and I missed him terribly last night and this morning...I DO have the little CurFeist Daisy here for the day and she is a delight to have. It was WAY awful this morning before she came and all the humans gone but me... DOGLESS???? Not normal for this house. We are now waiting on the MRI to be done... Dont' wanna talk about the cost. We can't spend what we did on Wyatt when he was sick...we just dont have it. He are HOPEFUL they can find something to fix this...
No word On Richards future Mother In Law yet. Assuming that is GOOD and Richard just doesn't wanna bother me with the Web stuff going on.
I never did get on yesterday. Didn't sleep night before and too tired when we got home from hosp. Slept like a log last night though.
Johnny, beautiful dogwoods etc... made me smile!
Will be back as I can be to update etc...
Have a Great day and THANKS, Heather

Heather
Keep the faith we will keep sending good thoughts for Web and sons future mother in law. Glad you got to taste real sweet tea but will confess Mc D"s is really sweet

Richard
Borrowed or helping Buck keep Hurnie in some sort of shape is more like it. Professinal handler far from it. Plan was I was going to take Daisy out to give her a night or two while I am working down here but she came in heat so Buck said take Hurnie instead. Talked about putting her in a couple of hunts before putting her up to have the pups but we will see. She has looked good down here in front of the english dog guys. Hope I can afford a Moose and Hurnie pup it seems the cost keeps going up

Thanks, david,
Yes, I also for it real sweet BUT the great things was you got the flavor of the TEA. That is what I find missing in "iced tea". That is what I LOVE about tea in a chinese restaurant, where I drink it without sugar...the TEA taste.
As for a Moose and Hurnie Pup.. who wouldn't want one? talk about a prime reddawg.... I sure have enjoyed watching the redbones from afar. Be sure you all keep taking those fine pictures... some days I think the pix are the only things keeping sort of sane in the strange boredom of my retirement. It's so weird to have my body be so fatigued and my brain so wide awake(even if it does have just a couple glitches here and there...LOL) The pic get me out in those woods I just cant get to. Thank Heavens I know how to use my imagination!!!

Heather

Wendall, you can always say that you were the first. That big booming voice can really make a holler ring on a cool, crisp, clear starlit night when you are out by yourself. It seems like it is just you, Moose and God.

I wouldn't even call that stuff you get at McDonalds "sweet tea". Does anyone remember "Sun Tea"? I still have an old jug and I make it on my back porch in the summer.

Good News

We've heard about how Richards future Mother in law is! Her fever is down and white blood cells lowered! She is improving but not out of the woods. Richard called to check on Webster. Still no more word on him. the waiting is torture BUT the little Miss Daisy is being VERY good today, good company.

Nice Pix wendall! Beautiful country.

Richard... I hope some day I get a chance to have some REAL sweet tea. After tasting the macdonalds stuff I bet Bob will want to use a recipe from here and make some at home! He wasn't into tea so much till he started making his Lithuania moon shine lol... Krupnik is made with tea... so he now likes the tea flavors... Even if it is zero proof! As for the sun tea... you know I think somewhere in all the stuff from Bob's old house that is still filling the 3 car garage... there MIGHT be a sun tea jar that he and his late wife had???

Well... it's in the low 50s here now and sunshining. BUT I'm stuck in here waiting on phonecalls from the vet. Daisy has been in and out treeing squirrels and chasing birds and a HUGE Tom Turkey. He is the biggest I've even seen! Got some pix but nothing to measure him against.
Spring is springing BUT... storm on Friday and I think North of us... they expect a foot of snow! lol.. April Fools New England!
again, THANKS to all, Heather
