okay since everyone has put on a chuckle or two here is mine:

An elderly gentleman....
Had serious hearing problems for a number of years. He went to the doctor and the doctor was able to have him fitted for a set of hearing aids that allowed the gentleman to hear 100% The elderly gentleman went back in a month to the doctor and the doctor said, 'Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really pleased that you can hear again.'
The gentleman replied, 'Oh, I haven't told my family yet.
I just sit around and listen to the conversations. I've changed my will three times!'

Two elderly gentlemen from a retirement center were sitting on a bench under a tree when one turns to the other and says: 'Slim, I'm 83.' years old now and I'm just full of aches and pains. I know you're about my age. How do you feel?'
Slim says, 'I feel just like a newborn baby.'
'Really!? Like a newborn baby !?'
'Yep. No hair, no teeth, and I think I just wet my pants.'

________________________________

An elderly couple had dinner at another couple's house, and after eating, the wives left the table and went into the kitchen.
The two gentlemen were talking, and one said, 'Last night we went out to a new restaurant and it was really great.. I would recommend it very highly.'
The other man said, 'What is the name of the restaurant?'
The first man thought and thought and finally said, 'What is the name of that flower you give to someone you love?
You know.... The one that's red and has thorns.'
'Do you mean a rose?'
'Yes, that's the one,' replied the man. He then turned towards the kitchen and yelled, 'Rose, what's the name of that restaurant we went to last night?'

Hospital regulations require a wheel chair for patients being discharged. However, while working as a student nurse, I found one elderly gentleman already dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet, who insisted he didn't need my help to leave the hospital.
After a chat about rules being rules, he reluctantly let me wheel him to the elevator.
On the way down I asked him if his wife was meeting him.
'I don't know,' he said. 'She's still upstairs in the bathroom changing out of her hospital gown.'

Couple in their nineties are both having problems remembering things.

During a checkup, the doctor tells them that they're physically okay, but they might want to start writing things down to help them remember ..
Later that night, while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair. 'Want anything while I'm in the kitchen?' he asks.
'Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?'
'Sure..'
'Don't you think you should write it down so you can remember it?' she asks.
'No, I can remember it.'
'Well, I'd like some strawberries on top, too. Maybe you should write it down, so as not to forget it?'
He says, 'I can remember that. You want a bowl of ice cream with strawberries.'
'I'd also like whipped cream. I'm certain you'll forget that, write it down?' she asks.
Irritated, he says, 'I don't need to write it down, I can remember it! Ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream - I got it, for goodness sake!'
Then he toddles into the kitchen. After about 20 minutes, The old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and eggs..

She stares at the plate for a moment. 'Where's my toast ?'

A senior citizen said to his eighty-year old buddy:
'So I hear you're getting married?'
'Yep!'
'Do I know her?'
'Nope!'
'This woman, is she good looking?'
'Not really.'
'Is she a good cook?'
'Naw, she can't cook too well.'
'Does she have lots of money?'
'Nope! Poor as a church mouse.'
'Well, then, is she good in bed?'
'I don't know.'
'Why in the world do you want to marry her then?'
'Because she can still drive!'

Three old guys are out walking.
First one says, 'Windy, isn't it?'
Second one says, 'No, it's Thursday!'
Third one says, 'So am I. Let's go get a beer.'

A man was telling his neighbor, 'I just bought a new hearing aid. It cost me four thousand dollars, but it's state of the art... It's perfect.'
'Really,' answered the neighbor . 'What kind is it?'
'Twelve thirty..'

Morris, an 82 year-old man, went to the doctor to get a physical.
A few days later, the doctor saw Morris walking down the street with a gorgeous young woman on his arm.
A couple of days later, the doctor spoke to Morris and said, 'You're really doing great, aren't you?'
Morris replied, 'Just doing what you said, Doc: 'Get a hot mamma and be cheerful.''
The doctor said, 'I didn't say that.. I said, 'You've got a heart murmur; be careful.'

One more.. . .!
A little old man shuffled slowly into an ice cream parlor and pulled himself slowly, painfully, up onto a stool.. After catching his breath, he ordered a banana split.
The waitress asked kindly, 'Crushed nuts?'
'No,' he replied, 'Arthritis.'

I started reading this thread.
Read about the first 10 pages.
Skipped about 100.
Took a while, here is the story from east Tn.

Working on the road and having people from above the Mason dixon line visit at our house I have come to understand that the housing market and Iraq are not this nations biggest problems. It is the lack of sweet tea and people that know how to make it.
McDonalds is not the answer this puts your sweet tea fedish in the hands of a huge Corpertation and can change the way they make it or do away with it at any time. So here it goes

1st you need tea bags to each there own but we use Lipton and you want to use 3 family size tea bags to a gallon of sweet tea

Next you need a small metal pot( I have one from Brazil that a man gave me to make Cuban coffee in about one quart in size) I have had mine for 4 years now the more you use it the better the tea will be

Boil your water is said pot and turn off heat add tea bags and let stoop( not sure if that is the right spelling for that word) if you forget about it dont worry tea wont go bad if there is not sugar in it.

HERE IS WHERE IS GETS TRICKY

Fla and the yankee State add 1 cup sugar to gallon of tea and water

Ga and Alabama add 1 and half cups of sugar to tea and water and O yeah most of Kentucky

Mississippi Texas Va WVa and South Carolina add 2 cups of sugar to you tea and water

LASTLY IF YOU LIVE IN THE MOUNTAIN TEEW North Ga and South west Va and the whole state of Tn and North Car ADD 2 1/2 TO 3 CUPS OF SUGAR ....to you water and tea if it pours easlily add more sugar

Hope this helps anyone on a sweet tea fix and wasnt sure How to cure it

Sounds pretty good there but everybody seems to have their own recipe for sweet tea. I go light on the sweetening myself. We have changed our diet quite a bit in recent years. When you have a month or two to read through you might catch up on what you missed in between.

Cougar is a well known MALE in the coonhunting world, here is a hint:

He hunts walker dogs, won south eastern treeing walker days with a female of his back a few years ago (I am thinking 2001 but dont hold me to that) and recently retired from VA TECH

A holy moment at Fenway Park

Three nuns were attending a Red Sox game at Fenway Park, sitting in the right field box seats.

Three men were sitting directly behind the nuns, readying to watch a ball game on a beautiful sunny afternoon.

Because the nuns' habits were partially blocking their view, the three men decided to badger the nuns, hoping this action would be annoying enough causing the sisters to move to another area.

In a very loud voice, the first guy snarls, "Think I'm going to move to Wyoming, there's only 100 nuns living in the whole state."

The next guy spoke up, saying, "I want to go to Montana, I hear only 50 nuns live there."

Not to be outdone, the third guy pipes in, "I want to go to Idaho, there's only 25 nuns in the entire state."

One of the nuns turned around and looking straight at the three men, in a very sweet, calm and innocent voice, proclaimed, "Why don't you go to hell, there aren't any nuns there!!!"

Any body been wanting to Dunk Lyndell Price

here is your chance

Tuesday, March 29 is Cougar Football Night at Wendy’s in Dublin
Wendy's in Dublin is having a special night for the Pulaski County football program. Tuesday evening, March 29 from 5 to 8 pm, 15 percent of sales at Wendy's restuarant at the Dublin store will go toward funding the Cougar football program.
There is also additional entertainment for the event. Cougar fans and players will have the opportunity to drop a member of the coaching staff in the dunking booth. So you think the coaches are all wet, here's your chance. There will also be homemade baked goods for sale and Cougar apparel as well.

SWEET FEED MOONSHINE # 5 gallon bucket of sweet feed (Sweet feed has several different grains and molasses making it a great tasting whiskey.) one package of yeast (using distillers yeast will increase quality and quantity) # 5 pounds sugar # water Put enough feed to cover bottom of 5 gallon bucket a good 4 inches deep Add 5 pounds of sugar. Fill 1/2 full with boiling water. Mix until sugar is dissolved. Let it set for 90 minutes and then finish filling with cool water. Add the yeast after it has cooled to the recommended temperature on the yeast label. Cover with lid--our lid has a little cap that screws on, leave it loose to breathe. 4-5 days later it's ready to run! This is an old-timer recipe and works quite well. My liquor is always 150-180 proof. I don't recommend this for pot stills unless you filter it by pouring it through a pillow case into a 5 gallon bucket after it has finished fermenting. Otherwise the meal will settle and burn in the bottom of your still. Some folks leave the solids in the pillow case and tie it off where it will not touch the bottom of the still.

Hi Everyone!

Nice Pix Buck!
Glad things were not any worse, David!!!! So Glad.....
Johnny, "Fresh" has different meanings ALL over the Boston area too....LOL...

Great Jokes! The Fenway Park Nun one is close to home for me...LOL... My Mum still lives in our family home which is walking distance to Fenway. Of course I've been there a bazillion times over the years... back in the day at least.... AND I went to a nursery school with some Boston Nuns too. LOL... They weren't the big scary nuns though... the ones all my friends, Bob included... had as teachers in Parochial school...
That moonshine sounds interesting. Back in teh day Bob and I would be found nibbling on sweet feed in the feed bins at the barn( before we knew much about dirty rats and possums and all that farm stuff....) I bet we'd like that shine. LOL...

Was a nice day here, about 40. Webster wanted to stay out and rat hunt much of the day... so I left him out there with a dog bed... Of course he was sleeping in the sunshine in a pile of leaves...LOL... dawgs! Think it may snow tonight a tiny bit? Will be chilly for a week too... not too bad though. The critters are stirring more and more. Lots of bird songs. Nice time of year even if it's unseasonable in my opinion!
Later, Gators, Heather
