Hank and I got a couple bushed tonight. I hunted dragons and Hank hunted sugar and sneak. The dogs showed that they can get a raccoon tree quick. We had a good hunt

I hope I'm more motivated to go. I have good attentions for a good season with Dragon, Maggie and Magic but time will tell.
Not sure I will go anymore till season or not. Just depends. Basketball season will start next week. Our football well it's over from what I see this year.

He will be 10 on Jan 1 2016. He can still get out there and get it done.
He is a layup type dog but he will get struck and shut his mouth and come treed. He is a good open trailing hound that is consistent on treeing coon. He isn't mean and will stay treed when he gets hooked.
He only has 3 pups on the ground. Mine ended up with a major injury. The two males have been treeing coons alone since 6 months old and the female is being worked with. Mine was treeing coon at 5 months old before his accident.
I've been raising dogs off this line since 94 and I have had success in winning in hunts and just pleasure hunting with good accurate dogs.
All I can say is come go for a hunt.

I waited all this time for season to start and then I didn't even go the first night. I took MU basketball over treeing coons. There will be more nights. We are suppose to get 1-5 inches of rain the next two days so we shall see. I know we could use it to fill up the ditches and creeks. Some are bone dry.

Dragon was very happy to be out in the woods. Hunting with a shotgun is fun if you can get the coon out alive. We walked about 4 miles when it was all said and done. Josh's little walker female is quiet on the ground but when it come to tree time it's two barks then treed. She did a lot better job this time since the last time I hunted with her. The tracking was tough for some reason and the coons were traveling a good distance.
Dragon just barked her there and yonder always moving the track. The first tree they made it had two way up in the tree and I wasted plenty shells trying to get on down.
The second tree it was the same type of track and even went farther but the got the boar treed in a small bushy tree. We called it a night.
I made a drop before Josh met me and Dragon drove a track in hard. He come treed in a vine tree that I didn't fine the coon. There where broken limbs hanging and he could have been on top of the vines but I will have to call it slick. Hard to find a coon if he isn't there.

Bill I hope you get moved. I'd love to go hunting with and and breed you Sue female to Magic. There will be plenty old blood there. She has got some age on her so who knows if she still can be bred. All we can do is try.

Well maybe I will make it out this week a few nights. I love college basketball. That is kind of keeping me out of the woods. My legs aren't doing great walking so that don't help any. They are weak. I'm working with the dr on few things so we shall see.

I've not been much but when I do go I seem to get a couple bushed. I never know what this weather is going to be in Missouri. With coons not worth anything I don't shoot many out unless someone wants to get the meat from me. Should be plenty coons for spring hunting.

Charlie the doc and I figuring stuff out. I'd say surgery on shoulder for sure and possibly my neck. I sure hope not. I'm not getting much sleep and my hands shake a lot at times. It is sometimes difficult to type let alone trying to text on phone. We haven't even got to my weak right leg yet. This could be long year for me. If so I will sell some dogs.
Now on the brighter side. Tree Dragon is now a 2016 performance SIRE. I like him enough and I hope I have a successful 2016 with him and get him to Nite ch and Grand if I can do my part.

Maggie is due to come in anytime and I have some thinking to do.

I can hunt still just not a lot of fast walking and going up and down bluffs.
Corie Smith has been sending me videos of his young male off Magic x Maggie. Since Nov 15 he is managed to tree 40+ coons now. He is not two years old yet.
I've not heard from Tyler Hayle to see how his male is doing. He sure can drift a track and come treed quickly.
I should make that cross again so I can have my own male out of Magic. I just don't want any pups for a while. I just have two Grand Nites that will sit in the pen and Dragon is what I will try to push in 2016. I know I need to keep him in the woods more but he isn't doing to shabby I must say. I may stubble around tonight because MU has another game here on Friday.

We hunted with Josh Hoffmann and is young walker female. We had a split tree and then they caught a big boar on the ground. Man they had their work cut out for them but they got it done. I think I made Magic happy. He will be 10 January 6. He can still do it right. He has slowed down some but that's alright by me. He will sleep good tonight.

I hunted Dragon and Terry Estill hunted Spud. First dump dogs struck but split up the came together and treed. They had a double. I'm not sure how that happened.

Next drop the went 958 yard through rough country and my leg go so weak I wasn't sure I was even going to make that tree.
I see now the Dr and I are going to have to put me back together again some how.
Tonight may have broke me to truck man. I now know I can't do steep ditches and bluff for sure. This make me sick that is scares me a little.

I've only been out 4 times so far this season. My legs are just not letting me do this much. All dogs have been out at least once and doing well.

Hey Elmo! Dog gone it man sorry to hear about your legs giving you so much trouble. Elmo I hunted back up home this past weekend and hunted Saturday night with Austin (who had Magic for a bit last winter). He is trying to start a 6 month old pup and having a rough time because he doesn't have a hound to run him with. He mention you and Magic. I told him to give you a call. If you still have his number Elmo, you might give him a call ( if you would like your old hound hunted a little the rest of the season). I am not sure if he would call you on his own. Austin's hounds have broke out of their pens twice and I think he is afraid Magic would get out and something would happen to him. He has that problem fixed now I believe. Take care of yourself! Took more X-Rays of my neck. We didn't even get to my legs and my shakeyness. Heck who knows. I'm falling apart little by little and I don't like it one bit.

Mystic second kill season and has not disappointed kept him in the woods through the months and we have had an excellent season so far 100% out of 64 trees this year i know as it gets later in the year he will be challenged more I think he will be able to keep his streak going he has treed really well compared to a year ago and staying tight with a loud mouth as soon as i hear that locate I have no doubt majestic has the meat we will see how he does with the big boys this spring in some comp hunts and hopefully we keep on with it thanks Elmo it's been a pleasure being able to Hunt with your hounds and communicate with you on how some of your blood is turning out hope to make Magic,Maggie and you proud safe hunting to you.

I will be more than happy to help you promote your male in the hunts.
He sure does look like his daddy.
As for me right now. They have me on BPM and I go in for a MRI next week. Something has got to give that is for sure. I want to hunt but just a little nervous about going a long way right now.
