Had another good hunt, Guy Houx, Brian Pearson and Daniel stopped by last night for a hunt. We turned loose Nt Ch Lou, Nt Ch Cleo and GR CH Lady made 3 dens, 1 blank and caught one on the ground. I enjoy seeing good females getting the job done.

Sent a pup out of Pearl (Pop-A-Top bred) X John II to Topeka Ks and another to Springfield Mo area, they needed to be there by Thursday.

I have never been a person that liked cold weather and it looks like I will have to deal with it for a while, snow and blowing snow everywhere and a temp down in the single digits and its going to get colder. Better have the wife throw another log on the fire.........Tim

The snow is knee deep to a tall garaffe and man is it cold. Nothing much going on but I am thinking about taking the old dog and one pup out on a hunt in the next night or so . The temp is sopposed to come up to about 28 to 30 deg and sometimes a snow hunt can really be fun. Most likely be a few lay ups. Hope you had a merry Christmas and if I don't see you in a few days have a happy New Year.

Jeff Grant dropped off his LuLu female to be bred to John II. She is out of GR NT PR Smokey River Annie X GR NT CH PR Mad-Dog Frank Jr. I have hunted with LuLu several times and she is an outstanding track dog that will flat get treed, she has a good squal-bawl mouth on track and a hard chop on tree. This female is tops and will be put in the hunts this year and finish easily.......Tim

Talked to Duel Peters, Whitemills,KY about pups that he and Gary Floyd,Elizabethtown, Ky bought from me, ( John II X Big Time Kate) at last years BBOA National hunt. These pups are around 9 mos old now and both of their dogs are running and treeing good. They have loud bawl mouths on track and hard chop mouth treedogs. Duel said that they were both "naturals" from the beginning, easy to start and steadily getting better.........Tim

Man this weather is a bummer and getting colder every day. I know this is winter but it's Kansas not Alaska. In my younger day I loved this stuff but now that I'm old and wise I've seen the error of my ways. Just can't wait to get back to huntin, I'm flirting with the idea to get the pups ready for the young gun shootout in May, wanna go?

Jeff just bred LuLu over the weekend and he already has 4 pups spoken for, I believe that this litter will go quick.

If nothing goes wrong I plan on going to the Nationals again this year, get those "young guns" tuned up. You may have to go south to tune them up........Tim
