GRAPE PIE

4 cups blue grapes 3/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp quick cooking tapioca 1 1/2 tbsps lemon juice
1 tbsp grated orange rind, or 1/2 tbsp grated lemon rind

Stem grapes and slip pulp out of skins. Cook pulp, covered, until seeds loosen. Press it through a coarse sieve to remove seeds. Mix strained pulp with skins, sugar, tapioca, lemon juice and rind.

Line a pie pan with pastry, fill with grape mixture. Cover with lattice or top crust. Bake in hot oven 10 minutes, then lower heat to moderate and bake until done- about 15 to 30 minutes longer.

Hi There!

Umm.. WE have.... SNOW on the ground here! Akkk... not much but enough for footprints etc... Supposed to get a few INCHES later on this week... LOL... least it melts faster this time of yr BUT... being on this Southern majority thread I get SAD when I se you all having such nice SPRING stuff already! lol... I'll live.

Thanks for the prayers y'all! My mum is doing well, she saw her Dr today but I haven't heard how it went yet. Webster is doing pretty well so far on the upper amount of the meds... I SURE hope it continues to work... the vet bills will be very difficult on us if he needs to go to the BIG hospital....

I stayed inside today and hibernated after morning chores.... Spring.... where are you??????????? lol....

Oh... that grape pie sounds different... not sure what I'd think of it? I sure would love a big slice of Peach Pie right now though... Yummmmmm...... or pecan pie... just cooked...
HappyHunting!!!! Heather

Anyway, is this true, because Ive never been across the Potomac river or north of the Mason Dixon line in my life, [unless you count West Virginia, but I dont think you can because the yankees stole it from us]. you cant count wva ! were considered the most northern of the southern states - at least thats the way they annouce it in the miss america pagent - lol ! wva has plenty of sweet tea ! lol

Darned if I know where you would find the answer you desire. It's hidden in the conglomeration if there was one. I'm not sure the question was ever answered. I don't think them northern people even know what our kind of sweet tea is! You sure can't find what doesn't exist!

Hope you get a good stand on your peanuts.
