Autumn Oaks

Sad to report no luck on this end J had a great cast and was really in the coon got beat by 50 on a split at the end by a nice walker dog but he looked really nice..My cast well not so great!!!! Who was looking good had two circle tree's and no minus..But we had a complete jerk in the cast that was carrying the score card and he didn't know the rules or how to apply them after second drop I had several ? markes on the score card took it back master of hounds over ruled him on every ? he was wrong on every judgement call!!! then they put a special judge on the cast and I with drew refused to hunt with the man anymore!!! They went back out and never scored a coon!!! Other two guys in the cast was great was sorry he had to ruin there cast we had a great guide and should have scored big we was in coon..Had a great time visiting with everyone and man it was hot but it seems that hunt is that way more times then not can't wait til next year be back with bells on..

Sorry to hear about your cast Rory. More times than not we don't win big at these major events but its always nice to at least have good sportsmanship and enjoy the fellowship of the hunters from around the country. The kind of guy you drew kind just seem to suck the life out of all the potential fun that can be had.

I got to hunt with Mark Looney and his Big River Dan hound. We treed a few coon, all the dogs looked pretty good, and the handlers were outstanding sportsmen. We all had a very enjoyable hunt. Mark & Dan are a great representation of the English breed. I had seen several folk comment about the good character of Mark and the outstanding ability of his hound, and I can now say from personal experience, it is all true. Dan is a nice, nice hound, and Mark is a real pleasure to hunt with. I wish you all the best at the zones!!

Dave Mark and Dan are top shelf!!! Congrats on winning that cast herd your gyp done nice there was several english dogs that won there cast but but didn't have enough to get in scores were higher this year plenty of coon just alittle hot..And your right I hate hunting with guys like that exactly why I with drew don't even want to be around them even with a difrent judge there's always next week!!More times then not you will hunt with good people and its always a joy when you do..And good luck to you in the zones to.

Rory glad you guys had a good time there sucks there always a a@#hole in the group. But now on to bigger and better hunts. Well we will do our best to prove to J and Rose they have a good boy out there now just time will tell as to what we will have by the end of season will keep you updated. Also you get out here alot of times our woods are way bigger than yours so who knows where they will end up lol..

Have to give Mike Wolf all the credit for how ol J looks he's the man thats been hunting the wheels off of him not me I've been stuck on the Who man for awhile now!! But thanks for the nice comments and the visit it was good seeing you see ya this kill season we will go roll a few!!

Here is a bad picture of Jasper from last night. I was planning on staying in and right about time for Duck Dynasty Jasper started barking and acting a fool. I went out and he had his head up towards the woods and just barking like crazy. I figure this should be quick so I go over and cut him loose. About forty five minutes, one woods, one corn field, one road, another corn field then a fence row with a coon up the tree. Not real happy about missing Duck Dynasty but was very impressed he stuck to it and put a coon on the end of all that.

Forgot to mention my blue female out of JLee and Betty had her first real after dark experience last night on this adventure and she went all the way and was at, and on, the tree when I got there. She didn't say much but she will make it. She didn't know what was really going on much so couldn't really get a picture of her.

AWSOME on both dogs keep up the good work!!!! Hey might be up in your area tues or wed of next week you want to make a short hunt? Hey don't know if you have talked to Mike Setliff or not but his and Timmy's J and Betty pup treed his own coon last week by himself they are pretty pumped about that too!!

This little gyp belongs to Jay Barret says he has trained her solo says she is the real deal says he hunted her with a gr nt the other night and she destroyed it on three coon says she will win right now at 1yr old!!! Thanks Jay for the commitment and taking the time to train such a nice young dog and good luck with her can't wait to read about her in the books!!!

I would like to take the time to Thank and Welcome Mike Wolf to the Big River Gang he now owns 1/2 of Jesse Lee we will be hunting him in alot of Pkc hunts in the very near future he has had J at his house for along time most of the summer hunting him while I work on some of these young dogs Mike, Jason and I are long time friends this should be a hoot and we got big plans for J in Pkc in the near future....Mike's number is 502-214-0412 call him if you have any questions about J I am sure he would be glad to meet most of you all...Again Welcome Mike me and Jason are pumped can't wait!!!!

This is Big River Cindy she belongs to Jason Webster and Jason Reisert I would like to wish them well at the zones next week as well these are two very nice young dogs that could go deep in this hunt with alittle luck!!!And both of these females are on top of there game right now great job guys proud of you all!!!
