Dc50 issue

My dc50 quit tracking when I was hunting lastnight it was like I hit the button to stop tracking but I didn't and it took forever to get it to connect again after I found my hound any idea what happened.

Randy thought I answered this question this morning but must off hit wrong button. Go to tools and waypoint manager. Delete them from there

Not sure what the problem is with the DC 50

Having problem with a collar I have.
It's a DC40 here lately it will loose single with the handheld,
It still shows the distance , but I'm getting a question mark for the state of dog?
It's been updated with the lastest software so as the handheld.
Got two callors, just one of them is giving a problem .
Mr Bruce you have any ideas?

What is the latest Alpha update? The way I see it...........2.70 for the t10 collar and 4.30 for the handheld. Is there a quick reference to find the latest update in the future? Thanks, Jim

At what distance is the question mark showing up. Most cases with the DC 40 it is the antenna. You can swap the antenna with the one that works and see if works like it should.

If you look at the contacts real close you will see one discolored. Clean it real good and sometimes that helps.
It is not something that is an easy fix, you just have to live with it.

I updated the alpha to the 4.3 tonight and then went hunting. It cut off twice. Once while I was on the menu page and I clicked on track manager and the second time I was on the map page and hit the compass button. Guess they haven't figured it out yet.

Contact cleaner or rubbing alcohol. Probably won't solve your problem but it should work OK.

Mr. Thomas I know they are working hard on this problem. I am not sure why some do this and some don't. If they could get this problem fixed they would have a Top Notch Product.

Mr. Robinson from the board here is working extensively with the people at Garmin on this problem which is the same as yours. Him and I have discussed this every few days and even tried some things on our own.

I have not updated my garmin but it is doing the same thing. Twice it has turned itself off from the compass page. Both times I was trying to calibrate the compass it shut itself off.

If you haven't updated it, that would be a good place to start. It it is still doing it, your best bet would be to call Garmin at 1800-800-1020 and let them know. If they can't solve your problem and it is under warranty then I would be requesting another one.

This may be a stupid question, but just exactly how does one update it? Hook it up to the computer and do what?

Mr. Conkey

Just out of curiosity, about how many of these Alphas have you heard of having these problems. Your right about this being a great product "IF" they could figure this one problem out. I'm going to give them a call in few.

I spoke to a very nice lady. She asked me to pull my SD card and see if that will work. I have all my birds eye loaded on the card. We will see if that works.

Sounds like your loosing communication with the collar. How old is the collar. If it has any age on it take the antenna off and see if the connection needs to be cleaned.

dc40 not working

I've got a dc40 that was working fine. I turned it off before charging and when connected to the charger no blue light came on. Tried a different charger and no change. I tried turning the collar back on and now it won't even power up. Anyone have this happen? Thanks in advance
