Blue on a coon from Friday night. It was hot and humid he did a nice job on 2 coons and a rare slick on a mulberry tree. Coons love those trees this time of year and he slammed it but no coon was found on it.

I hunted Jam in a RQE on Saturday night. Started off 2 dogs struck straight in one opened way left handed. The 2 got treed and on the way to there tree Jam struck and treed 100 yards to the right. The 2 dogs were slick and they re cut them to the dog left handed. We went to Jam she had a coon. The 2 that slicked were treed again and the dog way left handed was called treed. It left so I re cut Jam and we headed to the 2 dogs treed. We started to score the tree then Jam fell treed 100 yards away. We circled there tree and they led those 2 into her. She had another coon which put me 425 up on everyone. The dog way left handed still wasn't treed so we had to re cut for the 3rd time in that woods.

The dog way left handed finally got treed and it was a mile away the opposite way of our dogs. We walked for 40 mins to get to it and it absolutely ruined our cast. He couldn't win as he had 125- and I had 300 plus by the time we scored it and walked back to where we re cut Jam was treed a mile and a half from the truck. We got to her and she was on a beech den. I did not get qualified with 300 plus as they had 13 casts all having plus points. She dominated the cast and did all she could do but it just wasn't enough.

I have been hunting a decent bit the last couple of weeks. Coon have sure been moving great but it sure has been hot. Blue continues to get better each week he is really turning into a top hound. I picked up a Nite Ch win on him this weekend he looked real good.

Jam says she has him.

Cut Jam and Blue once each last night. It was muggy and hot. Jam layed this kitten up deep. She ran no track just kept locating chopping then locating.

Trevor,Blue and Jam are looking good bud.Those scorecards are showin there fast and accurate.Hopefully we can get together and tree some coons this fall.

Picked up Blues 2nd win in a row toward Grand last night. He scored 1000 plus but made a slick on a small tree in a blackberry patch. He continues to get better each and every week.

I have been hunting Jam and Blue a decent bit these past few weeks. It's been so hot, dry, and humid that I don't even feel like taking pictures.

I entered both Blue and Jam in a RQE over the weekend and neither did any good. Blue lost his cast by 50 and Jam spent half of my cast in a 4 ft ditch in a field tile.

So far this year RQE hunts haven't went my way but there is a couple left. We will see what happens.

Blue made it on the top 10 performance standings so I'm proud of him for that.

Blue looked real good last night. Tough tracking for a young dog right now as dry as it is. He continues to impress me the more experience he gets. We had to re cut in the same woods 3 times so it's hard to get a big scores when you keep re casting for 25.

Hunted Jam, Blue, and a buddies young dog last night. I have been hunting about every night trying to get ready for some bigger hunts coming up. Coon haven't been moving great but we are finally getting some much needed rain.

Blue buschwacked this one.

Last night was the last qualifier of the year. Thank the Lord both dogs came through. I took 1st place with Jam and my buddy Jake Carey took 2nd place with Blue. Very blessed night.

Had a enjoyable time at Oaks this year. Wasn't able to do any good but we will try our luck next year. The cast that Blue was in never seen a coon so that's just tough luck. My buddy Jake said they shined every woods edge and fence row and never see a coon.

I drew 2 older walker male dogs in my cast and a huge thanks to Dave Gilespi for guiding my cast. He put us right on coon. We scored on 5 coon but seen prolly 18 sitting up. Jam treed 2 off to herself and and the walker dog from Virginia named Blaster treed 3. He looked real good and never made a mistake. Jam also treed one deep about 2 minutes after the cast was over but I took some really rare minus with her on 2 occasions that pretty much cost us a shot.

Now onto preparing for the zones and superstakes. I hunted for a few hours Sunday night and Jam and Blue looker really good treeing several coons.

Jam and Blue on a couple trees the last few nights. Coon have been moving pretty good.

Black coon hard to see just to the right of the hole through the leaves.

Well another zone hunt has came and gone. I was so proud of Jam she looked as good as I had hoped she would. 1st night was clear and a full moon she was alone on 3 trees having 2 coon and a den with a cast win. 2nd night she was alone on 4 trees having 4 coon but one could not get scored because she got too deep and was treed right on a road so we had to call time out. That 200 was the difference in my cast. The other 3 dogs packed up and covered each other on every tree and they invented a coon in there 1st tree. What can you do.. Trust me when I say Jam and I are just getting started.

Blue lost 1st night by 37 plus and 50 plus the 2nd night. He competed well just needed to see coon in a couple circle trees. Both are still very young and we will be back next year!

Huge congrats to all the English folks that made it to the finals well done!

Hunted jam one night at the superstakes last night and drew a tough early round cast. She got the cast win but got beat in the late round. She came in full blown heat last week and I gave her pills to bring her out of heat. I'm sure that's hard on them so I only hunted her one night. In my late round cast she had a 1st and 1st right off but she was slick. First bad tree she's given me in a long time. She then slammed a coon but I was in a big hole. I'm very proud of Jamy she has alot of heart.
