Me and my brother hunted last night, Rebel and shelly, they split treed 250 yards apart, both big oaks but not with a lot of leaves, we could not find his or her coon, I think they both just missed, next tree was together, he treed and she backed him, this one was slicker than slime, we called it quits and licked our wounds lol.....Gerald

had a pretty good hunt down at Felsenthall wildlife Refuge, Nathon Harrod and myself loaded up the hounds and went the other night, he took his walker dog Wipeout and I took Shelly, our first dump produced split tree,s that were slick, our second dump produced another split tree with both having a coon, our third dump they struck in a swampy area then worked it out into some open timber, Shelly fell treed and after checking himself Wipeout treed with her, she had that coon as well, we dumped again Shelly hurt her leg up in Mo. I thought she was over it but on the 4th dump she came up limping again so I caught her up the walker dog went on and treed but we could not find the coon so we called it a night.......Gerald

our deer season will close the 16th, then my lease will be back open to dogs, then it,s game on , we will hunt almost every night up to Winter Classic, hopefully we will be ready, the young dogs will get some exposure as well, plan on having a youngster ready and in the hunts this spring......Gerald

She probably gets her toughness from her grandma. Two Gun Billy was not only the toughest female but toughest Hound I ever saw period. She hunted with some pretty bad injuries that we didn't even know about until the next day. I had a feeling you were going to finish Shelly last night. Good Job. Hopefully Wacker can produce a couple more GRNITES, I'm working on it.
