Can't get boiled peanuts here but Salted peanuts in a glass bottle of Coca-Cola...yum. Even though I am from Iowa, I am a southerner at heart. Have to be with a daughter named Scarlett.

The last couple nights have been cooling here in West Tenn. The mornings have been sooooo nice! The high temps have been in the lower to mid 90's with less humidity, which is so much nicer than the 98 to 105 we have been having the last couple months. So sick of the code orange air quailty also..

Im here just been hunting a JOB and found one thats going to last only six weeks. but that's better than nothing I guess. A few years back the jobs where looking for me. My nest egg has been cut in half sence the econemy got so bad. Two years of just coon huntin is nice but I want to hit more hunts. I have almost got my young dog to that point.

Sun tea was another thing I learned as a kid from my mother(gr, mother).
We make it a lot when we are camping. I mean "real" camping. You just need a gal. jug full of water, add 2 or 3 family size tea bags and however much sugar you like. Yes, we were at Parsons this spring! This year we did not do any cooking. Usually we stay down at the Tennessee River at Mouse Tail Landing, when we go to the St. Jude event. We thought is was just gonna be the two of us, but at the last minute we were picking up the grand daughter, Aimee Jo. We wished we could have changed plans and took her to Mouse Tail. There's just so much we used to do with our boys that we want to do with her, and staying in hotels just don't get it done

Just for future information when going to that area, Mouse Tail has a primitive camp ground right on the river that is real nice, and it's only about a 10 or 15 minute drive from the fair grounds. It's east of Parsons on 412. It's the first left turn after you get across the river.

Not sure if we will be going this year or not. There is a water race and field trial event over in Oklahoma that we have been hitting on the same weekend. We just so happened to go to St. Jude this year, because all my girls, well, let's just say, had other plans.

I don't have a clue why i remembered your name. but the info on the camping is great . We stayed at a motel this year and it's not for me either but my wife I think could sleep on gravel just close her eyes and she's gone. If ya'll make it this next year I will introduce Laura and I .

SENCE GREG BROUGHT UP THAT FOUR LETTER AFEW YEARS BACK THE DOCTORS PUT ME ON DISABILTY DEW TO BACK INJURY DIDNT THINK MUCH OF IT AT FRIST. BUT SENCE I HAVE LEARNED HOW MUCH AND HOW LONG I CAN DO THINGS I LOVE IT MOST OF THE TIME. LOOK BETTER WITH THE JOBS THE WAY THEY ARE.

I just noticed where you are from..Spent some good times down that way when I was growing up. My daddy's sister and bro.-in-law lived in the Beuna(?) Vista Lake community, between Coldwater and Hernando on 51. It was an awesome time when we could go down there for the weekend!! Gosh, that was many moons ago!!
