Max one of my friends is looking for an older hound to hunt a pup with and catch a few coons. Color is not an issue but does not want a wide hunter, 200 to 300 yards is enough - closer will work as he only patch hunts in his area, all small woods so no go yonder hounds. Lost his old broke hound last night and he does not use the computer any! If you or your dad know of anything even a walker let me know, he is very interested in getting one! It will have one hell of a home / pen!

Max tonight Jerry, Corey and myself took a little hunt with Jango and Star. First dump Star got in there with Jango about 680 and then Star started back. Jango ended up about 840 yards and rolled up treed. Star headed back and hit a track but not what it was, not sure it was junk, I guess I'm use to her treeing most tracks is why I wondered. Hell at 7 1/2 months they should finish most tracks! LOL! Second dump Jango struck and Star put in, went about 200 yards and they split treed, Star had hers and so did Jango and they were only about 30 yards apart, not bad for a pup huh! I think we have finally convinced Jerry Star is ready! Max we did do some training tonight!!!!

Max another pretty good night. Turned Riptide and Star loose and a they slammed a coon at about 120 yards, no track on an oak tree. Turned them loose off that tree and they got in there about 780 plus yards and treed on the river. Star gave one dying bawl and nailed it. Star came on both trees like she was on a mission and was right with Tide on both trees, not a barks difference. Max you had better have Rugar tuned up or Star is going to spank him! Corey got a few pictures that he is going to post tonight. Star would have made anyone proud tonight! I think the old man sold us the best pup max!!!!!!! LOL!

GR NT CH GR CH PR SUPER BLUE RIPTIDE

Max Jr. / Max Sr. - Corey finished Riptide tonight. Tide had 400 Plus on two coons seen and 175 circle on one den tree. Not bad for a total of (8) months of hunting and only 2 1/2 years old. I feel it is pretty good for some good old common coon hounds as some would say.

PR Super Blue Star picked up another best of breed, best of show and best of class with competition, she now has 70 points at 7 1/2 months old.

Jango starts back in the hunts tomorrow night Max, he deserves too be finished! Another good old common coon hound!!

Got out for a hunt last night! Ruger looked pretty good for as little hunting as he has had lately! 3 coon 2 dens and a slick tree but he knew he was wrong didn't take too much encouragement to get him to go on! Lol

Now that is sounding like Rugar. Enjoyed Rugar, when he treed he had most of them and ran no junk, another strong point in my world! We will get a hunt set up with winter for the young ones Max!

Max we drove about 80 miles tonight to go hunting. When we got there we got Jango out and Corey noticed his head was swelled real bad and hard as rock. Got our vet and he said he was bitten by a spider. Put him on Benadryl / low dose asprin and pedialyte and said to give it again in about 4 hours. Should be good until morning and if not better by then call him back. Took the meds fine and he still ate a little food so we hope all goes well for the old boy. Knocked our hunt out but he is worth it!! Hard to find a vet that does not have hours for a good old coon hound!

Mine and Zeb's female pup off Tango treed her first coon tonight. We call her Jitterbug. She's off Tango and a daughter to Uncle Pen.

Clyde not hard to believe as the litter mate we have Star ( Tango Penny ) is running and treeing pretty darn good. She has split treed several times with the meat and headed the right way. She is not hunting real hard by herself yet but sure can run and tree her own coon. I think they will be 8 months old Nov. 3rd. If given a chance they will make a good old common coon hound as some would say. Do you or Zeb have any pictures of the two male pups off of Chaos and Tango?

Max tell your dad a few others got see a broke hound in action last night. We dropped Jango and our pup out in a field that had at least 20 deer in it and they went right through them and hit the woods and treed a coon. While we were going to the hounds there were two does standing about 20 or less yards and never even ran, just kept on eating. How could a guy kill a deer, hell they won't even run and you can walk right up to them, not much fun! LOL! Ended up the same way as we started, turned loose and Jango hit and ran about 450 yards and treed with the meat. It was a very good night, light mist, dark and just the right temp.. We seen several more coons setting up in the woods we were hunting in so that is a good thing. Do any good last night?

Max we took Riptide and Star tonight. 1st dump they hit red hot and slammed a coon right on the river bank got there and I swear the coon couldn't have weighed 3 pounds I've never seen one that small this time of the year, There was only room for one dog to be on the tree and star didn't like it that much because she couldn't be up there on the tree like she likes. 2nd dump they got in the around 400 yards and stuck in the corn field and had a good corn field chase for about 40 minutes and ended up going into the ground. 3rd dump we turned star lose by herself she got in there and stuck but struggled alittle bit so we turned Riptide lose to help her they treed in there around 500 yards with 2 coons up the tree and we called it a night .

This coon had to be around 3 pounds
