Kenny Hulse from Arkansas has bred NTCH White Grass Sally to Mose this week. Hope he gets pups. May be his last litter. Mose is 11 and really showing his age.

Floyd got Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever this past winter and had to be laid up and put on meds. So, I decided that I needed to get off my butt and go ahead and try to finish him this spring if I was going to. I got him out and tried to tune him up a little and went to a hunt 4 weekends ago. We got beat, but I thought he operated like he ought to and I was pretty pleased.

The last 3 weekends I was fortunate enough to put 4 wins on him, finishing him to GRNITE, and qualify him for the World Hunt.

Unfortunately, during the last 3 weeks he went down hill health wise. I guess the stress of steady hunting caused him to relapse. As a matter of fact, he looked horrible last weekend at the RQE. We just got lucky.

Got him back on meds and I won't be hunting him, at least for a while.
We shall see.

Since I bought a nice young male to hunt summer, I decided to breed ChNtCh Jesse (Mose/Monkey) to NtCh Spur this week. He was King of Reunion last year. I hunt with him all the time & have seen a lot of good things done by him. With the way she is breed & reproducers behind her and Mose, I sure got to believe there should be some coondogs from this cross. We'll know in a couple months. I've heard real good things about Dwight's dog. I think your right. Combining top reproducing females like Sadie and Monkey sure can't hurt.
I will not be able to make it to the reunion. Our State Hunt is that weekend and I got talked into judging the bench show in Friday. Don't really have anything to hunt right now anyway. I'll be at Bluetick Days though whether I have anything to hunt or not. Several guys from our club are planning on coming too.
