James-May try to make it down Saturday-Big Boy and I crashed their party last year-it is down right embarrassing to watch grown men cry! John -people need to experience first hand a visit to Ed's with Larry, Terry and who ever else shows up for the hunts. Nice to hear Scott's Maddy female is doing better. Two big days the 10th and 11th of November. Birthday Party --on Nov. 10, 1775 the United States Marine Corps was formed-we are older than the country. Veterans Day -11/11. Every person who raised their hand and stepped over the line-was saying he was willing to die for this country-for most of us it was the first time any of us really thought about dying. A BIG thank you to all Veterans!!

Thank You to all Veterans!

How bout the logo-top left hand corner of this forum-good job UKC! Little chance of offending anyone on here I hope. As late as Wed.- I was still killing snakes and picking ticks of dogs-this morning its frost, ice and freezing--Sat. night calling for 28-perfect! Leaves are falling fast-one more excuse going by the wayside. Summer's hot temperatures are in the rear view mirrow. looking forward to a good weekend-hope you are. Any news out of N.C.? Been expecting some-know of some young 6 Again dogs over there that are ready.David--Josh-how bout it? Remember no Veterans? -no America!

One Step Closer

That's good news John and not to bad of a hunt. Got our 1st real good frost last night and another even better one tonight. Hunting under the same bright moon with not a cloud in the sky. 6 Again's half sista(Georgia Pronunciation) Gr Ch Blue Bio May Flower is now one step closer-scored 575 plus & 1st pl. UKC tonight. That was her 2nd 1st place so another cast win ought to do it for her. Got others here I need to be working on so I'm glad to be this close with her. Gonna hit the rack-talk with you later.

hey CW thats great news congrats!!!!!!! jeff Timms got his 4th win on iron will II last night happy for him to!! we treed 2 last night and the oldest pup of buzz(jr) treed 8 singles and a den on his own. gotta walker guy at newton huntin him he is the 1 that has a 1st place win he will be 2 in feb super nice young hound!

thank you!-Sounds like Buzz Jr. is doing his thing! Super good news on Iron Will II-one more win to go for Grand. Ed just called on his way back from S. Dakaota giving me good reports on Scott Phillips Maddy and the Hope female--says both of them should finish pretty easy--2 more of the 54. Showed Ch Nt Ch Mead's Blue Rejet today for his 3rd Best of Show. Many of you know that jet 7, Iron Will and Hanna were littermates. Ron Taylor has had good results including Hanna--Jeff is getting good results with the Iron Will dogs. What Ed was able to get from 7 has been good. Their mother was Bess 3-from Bess 2 X the CW dog. The Cw dog sired Flower-the mother of 6 Again. I bring this up because some superior dogs are being produced and if the right combinations are found we can all benefit from them for a long time! That is a pretty large size gene pool to select from combined with shots of Jet's 5 & 6's offspring and the shots of Hillbilly. History is going to show we were on to something during this time!

HE DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS!!!!!

Well, I, may as well tell the bad with the good....nobody else does, LOL!! Last night, I donated twenty bucks to the Ripley WV, Club...

First drop: we looked for 60 minutes for the hound's, untill we located them, "in the ground", either was a coyote den/bear den, I dont know what it was, but the hole was big enough, that all the dog's could fit down in there, and they all came out with blood on'm......

second drop: the dog's pulled an, "Eric Piatt", (Sorry Eric that's what we call it around here now, That's what happens when you get all famous-n-stuff)... Then the cast was scratched. Great Times, LOL!!

OH YEAH

CW...I, forgot to add, on that second drop.... There was a little walker dog, that absolutely tore Blues up on that second drop.... AND - I, mean, "burnt", Blues up on that track/Tree Job. Fastest darn track dog, I, ever seen/heard, (only on that second drop that is)....200yds plus, with-in 2 second's. NO JOKE....LMBO!!!!!! Sorry Doug, just had to.

Thanks CW for not coming down to the sectional. Smoke pulled out a cast win after giving the others a head start. Took home King of hunt as well.

Great!!

Way to go-I had planned to ride down Saturday but had to be here that night, so that killed that. Did ride over to Newborn for the show-made Rejet and Jessie Sue show champions. Combine that with May Flower's 1st at Cochran Friday night and your King of Hunt --that was all the ingredients for a great weekend. Except for last night--Eric -you will like this-We made 4 trees last night-ain't seen a coon yet-couple of hollows, vines and a nest-but do we know for sure-nope. Did have a young female split and hold it-she sounds like that lion at the beginning of the movies. You know how it is -we didn't have a good hunt, but we were glad we went. James put that trophy up where you can see it and don't let any dust collect before you get the next one!!

congrats to all u winners this weekend!!! we just hunted hunted hunted total of25 coon killed 3 slicks and 2 dens now that was my great weekend!! the jr dog really looks good but needs his daddys treeing ability he was in a contest and had 97 barks a minute lol take care all

RAIN!

Just got ran out of the swamp,but I'm not complaining because it was the rain that ran me out. We treed one and the girl that came along with one of the guys for her first coon hunt was there to get her feet wet and see what this coon hunting thing was all about --she wet more than her feet. She made it across the log fine on the trip into the tree--we showed her the coon--the first few drops of rain started falling and we got the dogs and went back to the log--is there anyone reading this that is not smiling and knows exactly what happened next-YEP-looked like slow motion-sort of a half turn so the rear end was first to make contact-then everything else of hers picked up speed--I'd give it at least a 9--wasn't perfect-but she got the trophy since she was the only entry. Give us credit-we did try to help,but you know how diffilcult that can be --even went you aren't laughing. We treed a couple last night on a short hunt too. Got a call from Dwight Hawse in Virginia today-He owns Tank-the oldest dog out of 6 Again-he is getting ready for Bear season and has some pictures in the mail for me. We had a 1 day Bear hunt in 3 counties in Middle Ga. and last I heard 18 were checked by the rangers and that was early-so who knows how many!

Yep still laughing CW. Been there done that. Send some of that rain down here. We gona have some drunk coon down here for a couple weeks

Corn mash from the local ethanol plant. Bin caught on fire and they cannot feed it to livestock so local farmer ( neighbor whose land I hunt) is gona spread it for fertilizer.

hi all!! hope ur hunting is great been treeing a few here to. we have a total of 32 as of today the bad includes 3 slick trees a cple dens and of course a grinner so its not all been good. went with jeff timms the other night seen ole lucy lookin good and penny looked bad that was where a slick came in all in all a good hunt!!!

James -we had a similar situation with feed up here years ago-dum truck load in a ditch. We found it after the dogs trailed up there and treed--from then on we turned loose from there and had real good races as long as it lasted. John--the 32 don't sound bad to us and we knock out very few-in fact when we bring a gun with the intentions of knocking one out we have our worst hunts. want to put a couple names on the sick list -Ed has had a rough time but is doing better. You guys that have prayer list --they are a great thing-I know I for one appreciated people praying for me .Ron Casey could use some now too all you good Bluetick folks. Details are not needed-just good thoughts and your prayers will do. Much needed rain for us and some bad weather for us and others-hope all of you made it through OK. Got a youth event this weekend I'm going to try and help at-should be a good turnout in Roberta, Ga. for it. Good Huntin this weekend everybody!

Friday night comp hunt

Ended up in a cast, with a tough little walker gyp...Everytime I'm in a comp with this little female it's nose to nose, and always exciting...BC you don't know who's going to Win....Only Walker dog I don't mind taking second behind, (besides Blade) if that makes any since, CW....Last night blues struck first, treed first, on first drop...2nd drop Annie would get 1st and 1st....3rd drop Blues got 1st and 1st...Went on like that the whole 120...its like watching your favorite team in over time....at the end of a great comp hunt walker had 25 + over Blues...Fun times fun times!!!! Win or loose thats what it's all about.....

James, Me too...Blues would have won if the last tree wasn't circled...If you can hunt with a rifle, I'd had it...It was on a tall/big tree, the last fork up... you can see what appeared to be the, rear end, of the coon, but know one else would say it was, but me, LOL!!!!!
