They humiliate the teams the are supposed to. The Best team they played this year was no doubt V Tech but Nevada is as good as Tech. Oregon State was HEALTHY when they played Boise and that wasn't much of a game. It was never close. See when a team like Auburn that has one GREAT player(Newton) struggles they are pitiful (Example Clemson). A team like Boise who has 2 NFL recievers and a great QB along with Avery a solid running back and a greta TE one player can have an off day yet they still win. In the last 2 seasons I don't recall Moore EVER HAVING AN OFF GAME. He is the smartest player in college football, even the analysts give him credit for that.

MAtt,,, quick question; Have you ever watched Boise play? Honestly do they not impress you? I love college football and coem saturday I watch all the "big" games. If Auburn had a good 1 or 2 road wins I would give them respect. If they go to Alabama and beat them no doubt they have earned there title shot. Unfortunatly they have in my oppinion about a 20% chance of beating Alabama. You Auburn fans just better hope they don't get slaughtered at Bama.

I am an Auburn fan but i have to agree they dont have a top notch defense. But they have improved week to week which is a sign of a good team. They seem to find ways to win and they dont get down on themselves when they get behind. I do think Boise has a great team, but i think as bad as Auburns defense is, they are probably as good or better than the defenses that Boise has played. It is hard to judge a team that plays a schedule like Boise plays, but they do play well when they do have a big game. I believe about anyone could have beat VT the week that Boise played them. Only time will tell.............

yes i watch nearly every game and i am impressed.... then its back to reality.... i am also impressed everytime a six month puppy blows up on a hot feeder bucket coon also, but what does that really prove? boise state, no difference.... who would not look impressive in the wac? get back to reality.... the tough football programs dominate small schools every year, the difference is they're not like the ponies and blow it in everyones face look look look we destroyed that computer tech college we are awesome and deserve a national championship because we just destroyed them man we're awesome everyones afraid of us blah blah blah...... and yes alabama may destroy auburn, it could happen, why? because they play respectable football teams.... the ponies.... do not.... i think i made a good comparison, boise state opponents= feeder bucket coons, maybe you'll understand now

I'm glad you at least say they are a fun team to watch. I don't think Boise will blow Nevada out but it will be a 2 touchdown win. Boise is 2nd in the nation in scoring and 2nd in points against. has any team in college football history held those two stats this late in the season?

I'm going to make one more point as to why people discriminate against Boise.

1)They play on a blue field
2)There from Idaho
3)There in the WAC
4)they dominate week after week so they must not be playing anyone to dominate like they do.

JUST THINK IF VA TECH WOULD HAVE BEAT BOISE THEY WOULD BE UNDEFEATED AND RANKED 1ST OR 2ND AND ON THERE WAY TO THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. WE ALL KNOW THAT JAMES MADISON WAS A HANGOVER FROM THE BOISE GAME.

How can you brag about there stats? There stats mean absolutly nothing! You cant even compare that to the rest of the teams. Auburn would EASILY be 1st in offense and defense stats if they had Boise's schedule! Like I said before, I'm not saying Boise could'nt beat anyone in the country but until they get at least a half ass schedule I will have NO respect for them and they should never even be considered for the title game. There's about 25 teams in the country that would be undefeated if they played Boise's schedule.
P.S. Please dont tell me how good NEVADA is, I aint buying it!
This is also the worst team VT has had in years.

Boise changing conferances next season I think and should have a little tougher schedule. If what I read is correct. They know that to get a title shot they have to toughen the schedule.

All you can say is Boise doesn't have a tough schedule. Regardless of the fact that they went un beaten last year and returned there entire team makes them not worthy right? I got news for you all Boise is the best team in the country followed by TCU. You all rant and rave like Auburn has such a great schedule when they have not had one tough road game all year.

And yes by the way Nevada is a good football team. Top 10 team? No, but they can step up on a good day and beat anyone, especially at home. Auburn will stumble in the next few weeks and Boise will be in the title game to take on a team (Oregon) that they have beaten 2 years straight.

Hoosier Man1, you might as well forget about convincing most of these SEC lovefest fans that Boise can compete with any SEC team(except maybe Vandy). As a matter of fact, I`ll go out on a limb and guess some
of these guys probably think the upper level teams in the SEC could compete in the NFL. With that said, I still think the SEC is the best conference, but I would sure like to see more of their teams play more games up north or out west, instead of most non-conference games in the
south, typically against inferior opponents. Oh yea, I have already read on
here where you guys just beat up on each other, unlike any other conference!

Hey HoosierMan-----might get your wish of Boise playing the SEC. Seems that the Dawgs are trying to work a deal to play Boise in 2011's kick-off classic.

Yep i'm glad to see it. It still won't prove anything to the SEC blowhards when Boise beats them. Next season will be a rebuilding season for Boise and Georgia is bringing alot of there squad back.

I don`t hear any excuses! Fact is, Boise St. returned 21 or 22 starters from an undefeated team last year. Somewhere along the line, these guys
have to graduate, hence, a rebuilding year. Even the mighty SEC teams rebuild sometimes. What we need is a playoff. Seed the teams 1 to whatever. Top seeds host playoff games, no matter where that game would be played. Maybe Wisconsin or Michigan in December. After first round games, go to neutral site. Do it like 1 AA or Div. III. Crown the champion on the field....not on forums like this one.

Undoubtedly you don't watch or know a whole lot about football go look at your bowl records and see how many sec teams have beat the north and out west teams

boise aint had a tough game at all this year. at least auburn schedules real football teams to play. home or away. if auburn looses boise still want get a shot. it will be tcu and oregon is what i believe. i dont think auburn will loose they getting better each week. i am sorry boise played vt. that got beat by george madison the next week so that really says alot for boises toughest game of the year

just throwing this in. the sec all time bowl record is 181-159. the sec also has the most wins. alabama has the most bowl games won and lost. the sec has the more bcs championships than any other confrence.
now that said how can anybody disagree with the sec being the strongest confrence and all the national championship games the sec has been in its always a different team. its not the same team over and over. the sec for the most part are all well matched teams that play smash mouth football. no other confrence can say that.

See what all you are missing is the fact nobody should be looking at who has the best confrence. You should be looking at who has the best football team. Boise has the best team. Anyone watch their game last night? They are extremly consistent on both sides of the ball. Fresno put up 51 points on Cal so its not like they didn't have a good offense. Man kellum moore is one of the best quarterbacks I have ever watched. You can't help but not be impressed when you watch him.

Look Tennessee is awful this year BUT if they played Boise's schedule they may actually be undefeated.

Part of the reason they haven't earned it is the week in week out grind, losing players to injury, and having to play a tough game more often than not. Teams in real conferences have to do that, Boise does not. Can they beat any team on any given day? Sure any team can but there are Div II teams that would have a winning record and may only have 1-2 losses if they played in Bosie's conference. Matter of fact their conference strength would go UP if a few DivII teams joined them.

As far as the SEC having a losing record in bowls, I think not, but I could be wrong. A few years ago 7 out of the top 15 teams in bowl wins were from the SEC with Bama 1, USC 2, Tennessee 3.

The SEC was so dominant in the bowls when they were playing close matched opponents (SEC 2nd place team against Big 10 champ etc) that they only lost one game in two years (heck maybe three it was in the 90s and it was some large number of wins vs losses).

The bowl folks actually came out and said they were gonna quit matching teams that way (try and get even matches of conference 1 vs Conference 1, 2vs2, 3vs3) and were instead going to try and get a more competitive game. That's when you started seeing SEC team that placed 7th playing another conference team that placed 3rd and such. They KNOW that the SEC is going to dominate unless you have them playing up, so they make the SEC play up. Kinda like spotting the other conference.

Of course the games are more competitive now, used to the way to win any college bowl competition was to pick all the SEC teams LOL.

Rip,,, you always refrence that Tenn would be un beaten in Boises confrence. I'm sorry but that's a complete joke. Tenn is terrible anyone that has watched them knows that. Boise would have there back ups in by mid 3rd quarter.

What are you smokin?

I said they were terriable. I am not saying if they played Boise, although I'm not convinced Boise could beat them.

If they replaced Boise in that league they would be the conference champs this year and might be undefeated.

That's how bad the conference is.

Boise MIGHT, MIGHT be able to beat them. They might not either, their level of competition is so awful you can't tell.

Heck VANDY would be the conference champs if they swapped with Boise and Boise would be a 4 loss team.
