From the first time I found out about her I was sure interested in tracking her down and finding her. I knew she had been floated around some but also knew enough about her to know that I was pretty sure she was what I was looking for. Well it took me a little while and then I figured out that Ron now had her. So as soon as she came up for sale I knew that if it was possible to get her I was sure going to try. Now it's time to hit the woods. I am hunting her a good bit starting this weekend. I should have some pics of those hunts. My plan is to hunt her hard. Get her lined out and then hit the hunts. I would like to put at least a NtCh. Ch. title on her this Winter/Spring and then breed her this summer, to one of a few GrNtCh. I have in mind. She has only had 1 litter of pups period. I don't know if she has any places in UKC yet. Plan to ask UKC about that. By this summer I will be moved with my small kennel set-up at my new house and be working on the big kennel on my place also.

I haven't seen her since I sold her as a 2 year old. You can't keep them all, but that one I should have kept, she was real nice. Still looks good.

just got done cutting up some bear and will be bringing you a bunch in March. Wed. or Thursday we will be trying to put Kid on his first Bobcat. We got the catnip out and my brother will be checking it daily. If we run a cat Ill be trying to video taping it as long as the camcorder works in the cold weather. How are the pups doing ? Actually, I plan on winning the Redbone Sectional Queen of hunt with Quick Kitty or another female I have in the works. We'll be hunting at the Honey Hole to insure a nice high score. No feeder buckets just plenty of coon.

Dave said it was pretty good. Me I'm up for just about anything. There are a few things I won't eat but I worked in a butcher shop long enough that I'm pretty sure by just the smell of it that some bear ought to be alright. Normally, if it's something that just isn't going to work I can tell by the smell. My brother shot one of those dudes a few years ago, on a trip I put together myself, in New Mexico. I spent several days getting everything together and was up late the night before season opened getting everything ready for the rest of the week. Well I slept in that morning and wouldn't you know it my brother went about 300yds. from the camp we set up and shot a nice cinnamon colored one, the only one we saw.

If you need fence for your new kennels I have several hundred feet of 4 ft chain link you can have. Its great for puppy pens and can be doubled up for a 8 ft. I had 6 and 8 ft also but someone walked off with it. Almost nothing worse than a thief. Ill fit what I can in my truck on the way down if you want it. I bought a 3 run kennel with doors and hardware for $100.00 for the cabin. If you are interested in something like that, I will keep my eyes open. Im sure there will be more deals like that. No cat track for Kid yet. Its been below zero anyway.Maybe Sat. its supposed to warm up to the single digits. Take care,

However, unless you just need to get rid of it I'm good. I actually pealed several thousand feet from an airport in Oklahoma City when I got back from Iraq. I brought it back here to Arkansas, for my goats. As you know chainlink don't hardly go bad but after my Ann female got hung in the fence the only thing I'll make dog pens out of is 4 x 4 in. sq. 20 x 6ft. utility panel. It don't take but loosing one good one to stear you clear of some things.

Well with the help of a 14 month old double Kate male and a 18 month old, tree happy, B&T female we got 12 coons last night. Ran 3 in a hole, dug the last one out and had two den trees. Kitty was starting to get upset at them dissappearing and some thought she wasn't treeing coons, so I dug one out for em.. She got first tree on all but one and several times she was held until the race was well underway before I released her to get first tree still. One they even ran down a full grown coon and had him killed before I got there. The young dogs had yet to do this until Kitty threw in with them. She looks like she'll get anything from 1st to 4th strike but she is going to get first tree. As soon as you hear her locate you can go ahead and get ready to shoot to. One big long male sounding locate and it's a steady chop until mister coon falls. Ones things for sure there weren't any feeder buckets, feed troughs, etc... just wide open fields with little strips of trees on the river bottom where a hound has to get gone to get treed. This all went down between about 8:30 and 1:00 this morning. So as you can see it wasn't an all night ordeal getting under these coon either. I think Quick Night Kitty is here to stay.

However, I've been keeping her in the house so we could get good and bonded before I took her out. Unfortunately, Dean I never got to hunt with Huey. Everyone I talked to about him had nothing but good to say about him though. I know I sure liked his looks and attitude from when I met him and Darin at Redbone Days and sure wished I had something out of him. Well now I finally do and sure proud to own her. If you find out something on that NtCh. female that's a sister to her and Bubba let me know.

For a hound to have been set up like she was and then come out and look like that shows me she knows what's up. I'd just like to hunt her a few more times before putting her in a hunt. Me and her were both sore for the last several days though. I wanted to push her and just see what she had. That means I had to do some work too though. I'll have her in shape before long.

I'm afraid she's not so young any more but she can still hang. She doesn't go as hard as Daisy does but will still get under a coon with speed. With any luck she'll be at least a NtCh by this Spring. Whenever you want to go just let me know. I plan to hunt her a few weeks by herself and then go back to hunting with others. Got to get her tuned up for the hunts first off.

She reminds me so much of my Ann female it's not even funny. Ann went hunting a little harder than her but other than that it's almost like the same hound. Ann stayed at Harry O's. for a while and he thought she was a house dog. He said she just kept getting into the bread was all. She'd never been in a house in her life. Just a good hound. Music/Kitty is the same way. She been in the house since I got her and you'd think she'd always been. Well that is until you turn her loose in the woods then it's game time.

She's been sitting up for a little while. I've brought them out at alot older than her and done real well with them. The thing with her is when the track falls apart or the coon does something funny at the tree she has enough experience to get it straightened out quick and get under the right tree. A little building up and I think she'll be good to go. Then I'll know for sure what I have. That's why I want to hunt her up a little before turning her loose in the hunts. However, she could stay like she is and still win plenty.

Here's the way you find her. She's not a stand on the tree type hound but she sits right there at the bottom and doesn't move. She can get jumped on, knocked down, and she never misses a beat. One big long locate turning to a steady chop and she's there until the cows come home.
