If you like to go hunting around Cuba City Tom, give me a call sometime. I try to go as often as possible and don't usually mind company once in awhile. If the weather doesn't get too awfully bad, I would like to go tonight. I went out last night after the Packer/Vikings game and was able to at least look at a couple coon.

I as well enjoy hunting with their Redbones, but living down here makes it more difficult, and I really miss the terrain from back home...

Today at Milton, 10-10-09

I realize this is a "treedog" thread, but bare with me, he's only 7 mos old!!!!

Today at Milton Bruizer and Edge won class and breed, and went against each for Best of Show.... Here's a picture taken after the show. Didn't set him up too much as it was just a pic for fun, I think he looked a lot better when it mattered. Jay Leahy might have a better picture of him. Other picture is just for fun, pay attention to the shirt.... LOL

My season starts Monday night. I had to work all weekend 6p-6a. My Rip and Boo pup (Bruizer, pictured above) is gonna have a few pictures taken of him as the season progresses, I can guarantee that!!

MY opening night

Worked all weekend, so to the woods I went tonight. Dogs looked really good. Bruizer got a jump start for "flippin that switch". I've never seen him show any grit yet.... I'm still grinnin'!!!!

Ok guys, sorry about getting so behind! I see I haven't been on here in awhile. We've been so busy with the kennel and the rest of life, that I haven't updated about the weekend yet! Looks like you all did well! Aub and I love the pics/videos/updates! Speaking of not posting in awhile......where's Scott Brown?!

Aub's weekend:

Friday night: Chad Theis brought up his two Clyde pups, Daisy and Maverick. Daisy is a littermate to Ox and Star, and Maverick is off of Clyde X Riverbottom Lil Ann. Aubrey and Chad took Ox, Daisy, and Maverick and headed out to hunt off of the mules. They had a great time. Here's pics of Friday night/Saturday morning.

Also, I thought some of you might enjoy this......I received this email and picture from a young man who purchased a Clyde X Rain pup from us this past fall. This pup is not quite 5 months old:

"Hey Aubrey and Ann this is Dougles with the Clyde X Rain pup in UTAH I just thought I would let you know he is doing great and I named him Cash. Last night I took Cash, my 2 other redbones and my redtick pup trainer (Lady) out coon hunting well Lady opened and struck a track Cash opened and started trailing. Both Cash and Lady where working the track and Cash blew up trailing into a mess of willows he locked down and started treeing in a mess of willows by him self my redbone female (Lacy) heard him bawling so she went to help so she jumped in to the willows then I heard a Coon squalling so I made my way into the willows and saw Cash and Lacy tearing the coon UP! Cash had the coon by the head and did not let go till the coon was dead. Later Lady struck in on a track and Cash jumped right in and started working the track locked down and started treeing. Cash is an excellent tree dog he barks way more and way louder than any of my other dogs. Here are some pics of him treeing Thanks Dougles"

Aubrey took a mule and went out hunting last night........ended up pouring........foolish coonhunters! LOL Anyway, he took Ox and Spice - Spice did well, runs a beautiful track and participated on every tree, can't ask for much more on her first time to the woods. Here's pics:

Aubrey went hunting with Brandon Gudgeon last night. Took Edge, Clyde, and Star, and also made a drop with Ox and Rocket. It sounds like they had a blast; they had a lot of hard running cornfield chases, and caught one on the ground - bringing the total to 9. A lot of great dog work. Here's a bunch of pics:

Opps! I forgot to post the picture from Thursday night. Bill Gudgeon and Aubrey went hunting in the pouring rain, took Clyde Star, Moon, and Mandy, and treed 4. They didn't get any pictures in the woods because it was pouring rain, but it sounds like Moon is really coming along nice, and will be ready for the hunts in the spring.
